Texas Women University FALL 2016

Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

This whole "over capacity" thing is confusing. So they accept more people hoping that a lot of them will reject their offers? And since only 2 did they're over capacity? I kind of get that, but now if more people reject or decline and they're still over capacity are they going to let anyone from the waitlist in? Because I don't think they filled those 2 spots that declined/failed to respond

They wont start taking ppl from the waitlist until they are under their capacity. So more ppl would have to decline.

Dang that sucks. So our waitlist positions are 2 and 7 but technically if 2-7 people end up opting out we still may not even get in.....ughhh

Well, I hate to be a Debbie-downer but it looks like nursing school for this fall is a no-go.

I'm personally thinking of taking the fall semester off from school, work, save up, and re-apply for spring. I can't improve my GPA or TEAS score anyway and apparently they give preference for people that have applied multiple times so I'm 99.999999% sure I'll get in for spring.

I'm curious, what are y'all's plans?

As of right now, I'm going to go to the nursing program at my current university. it's a good program but TWU is better and right next to my house!

I just got the rejection letter too....she also just emailed me back personally and said I'm #2 on the waitlist.

I'm applying to A&M commerce...

Same here. I'm meeting with an advisor next week and I'm taking my HESI A2 April 27th. The last day to register for Fall 2016 at Commerce is May 17th. That's nice because it gives all of us another opportunity there. However, one of the prereqs is Philosophy and they said they won't take my Humanities class, so I'll be taking that one over the summer.
