Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

To the ladies and gents whose transcripts hadn't been verified yet-- any changes?!

Mine finally were verified! About 3 days ago, I submitted them on Jan 15th, so it took almost a month!

I'm going to calculate my score when I get home to my laptop. You guys scores are great! I'm hope I'm remotely close to that lol.

When you guys look at your PDF that you can download off of nursingcas after everything as been verified on page 4 of the PDF at the top it says Rank and has the number 1. Does it mean anything? I just know for sure that they are using the point system for admission to the nursing schools.

Hey guys, so I inputted my grades into the GPA worksheet and it says I have a 48.83. But on my transcript it didnt show the exact grade I made in lab or lecture..it just showed the total grade for the class. So do I just put in my total grade for the lab tab and the lecture tab?

Also, having a bachelors helps tremendously!! I wanted to see what my score would be if I had a bachelors and it bumped it up to almost 10 points! Unfortunately I dont, but whoever does is very lucky :)

Spring,

My lecture/lab was the same way for anatomy. What you do is put 3 hours for the lecture and 1 hour for the lab and put the same grade for each.

I must be doing something wrong with my GPA worksheet. My GPAs just say "value" and my score says "####." I think I'm inputting everything so I'm not sure what the problem is. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hey there! Who sends those emails you

guys posted? I applied last December and nursingCAS said everything was OK. According to the advisor (Denton) they received everything as well but I've never got a single email from the nursing department. Thanks!

Mine says 1 too. No idea what that means.

You should be fine. They only emailed applicants that were missing transcripts but as long as you applied to nursingcas by the deadline, your application will count and TWU will consider you. If you're still nervous, EMAIL Heather Close ( [email protected] ) she has all the answers!

& don't worry about the rank thing, it's probably just there for description purposes.

When you put in your classes into the Excel worksheet, don't put in a grade for lecture and lab, just make the lecture 4 hours and put in the grade. Skip the lab entry. That is what worked for me.

Now I wonder when TWU will start rolling out their acceptance letters. If I don't get in there, I won't know what to do! I had everything in by the end of December (nursingCAS complete and verified) in addition being accepted into the university. My score was a 66.67. At least TWU is much more transparent about their admissions criteria than UTHSC-Houston. I think its luck of the draw. So many people been accepted so far that don't have the grades and scores I do, and I saw one was from out of state. Very disappointing. I wonder what a lawyer would say? LOL

aawww bearfur!!!!!! I really hope you do get into UTHouston, that's an awesome school. I didn't apply there though because I didn't feel like taking the HESI lol. If you get into UTHouston, that's good news for both of us..... you get to go to that nursing school and you left a spot open for me at TWU houston haha jk. No, but if you don't get accepted there I'm pretty sure TWU is going to be your school. Don't stress, you're going to get into a nursing school, just hang in there.... your stats are too good.
