Texas Women University FALL 2016

Published

Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

thank you so much for all the information bearfur!!!! Just to make sure though, In that picture you did enter your TEAS score and still got a 66.7?

michelleshin15, it is ABOVE additional notes

an advisor said my score is ~53. she said that was competitive and that the highest they have seem was ~70..

yeah...I tried. and I failed. its going to look the way it is....sorry.

FutureRN - my score before putting in my TEAS was a 57.33. Are you placing all your scores in? I can't see why it should go down after that. Sorry you seem to be having trouble.

I wanted to say as well I was told my a nursing adviser that the 45 cut off was what it was last year. That may change in light of nursingCAS. I think nursingCAS will deliver "a better picture" than what was there before since this system is very fool-proof and not subject to human errors in calculations. The cut off score may not change after all, but we will see when all is said and done. I think though that the 45 is just a rough indicator at this point. Just IMHO.....

Okay I was able to do it correctly this time! The 45 cut off is for both campus or just Dallas?

I was told just Dallas. I was also told that the Houston center is actually a bit lower since not many of those applicants have the TWU bump. Keep in mind this cutoff was last year's information and these numbers could change in light of better calculations from nursingCAS.

is anyone in pathophysiology online with susan grigsby?

online exam is this friday.... anyone wanna review with me before the exam??

I just calculated my score and found it to be 63.20!

45 isn't a cut off, but just a number that people were accepted with last year. It isn't set in stone. However, I really think that people with 60 and above are in no problem! You guys are set:) This is all speculation though. Who knows how it will go with the new system.

aritter4,

I agree! Hopefully it isn't too different with this new system.
