Anyone applying to Texas Women University? I recently attended an information session and spoke to Ms.Victoria the nursing coordinator for TWU. What are your stats? What advice to you give when studying for the TEAS? I know you have to apply for TWU first then get accepted. Then you apply to TWU NURSING. But I am somewhat confused on that process. I went to the apply portal and it does not give me the option to apply for FAll of 2016. I may have to wait. Any current TWU students that can give me any advice on the application process. It will be of great help. Thank you!

I'm hoping we will find out earlier than they have in past years because of the new system. Has anyone asked about this?

I don't think we will because they said they will take people's applications once their transcripts are in and verified. Some people may have sent them in and are still waiting...but idk!

I wonder if the decision will be made via nursingCAS? It was stated that all communication will be relayed through that website.

Yeah I was wondering that too. But if it is through nursingCAS, I'm sure we will get an email from them. Can it be March already?

My transcripts are still being "verified"... Anyone else in the same boat?! ☹️

Yes, one of mine has yet to be received... And the other was received weeks ago in January but still is not verified. This new NursingCAS system is frustrating. :/

Me too! Mine are in and have been in since early January. Since they aren't verified, I guess it means they have yet to look at mine. I really hope this isn't an issue. Because they aren't verified, CAS says my apps are undelivered. I have had mine submitted for a while now, so hopefully there is no issue. I guess we will find out:/

Does anyone know the formula that they use to determine who gets in? I know they look at:

- GPA

- TEAS SCORE

- BACHELOR'S DEGREE

- 32 HOURS AT TWU - DENTON

Is there anything else they look at?

I don't know the formula, but if you call the advisers at the school, you can receive your application score and they will tell you how you match up compared to previous semesters.
