Texas Tech University ABSN 2024

Published

Hello! This might be a little early, but I wanted to create a group for those applying to Texas Tech ABSN 2024. With applications due in the coming months, I was hoping to have this space for anyone to submit tips or questions that may come up. Thanks!

Did they ever say anything about the acceptance letter that was sent out by accident? ?

Nope ??? but I didn't mention it!

Also, do you think we will now find out 2nd week in September? I am soooo anxious and just want to know ?

I think we will, but not until Friday since they had the deadline for the school choices on September 6.

I am thinking maybe next Friday we can expect some admission decisions! Hopefully ? I am so ready to just know!

for those mentioning they saw an acceptance briefly in their portal, was it just the portal? Or did you get a different email as well?

Just saw it sitting in my portal!

so to do those who have applied before, does it get to this part too before we find out if we're denied acceptance?

I was also wondering how long does it take for you to know you were denied acceptance? Do you know after all acceptances are sent out or in the midst, etc?

Im having a hard time replying for some reason. In previous years we've created a ------------------ and it's easier to keep in touch.

How do u get to speak to an advisor? This is my 3rd time applying ?. First time they've done video interviews. I think that's what breaks me is the interviews.

On the website, I think there was a link to request an advising appt. I had to wait a few weeks for that initial appt, but afterward, you're assigned to the same advisor. I just shoot emails to her when I have questions.

I asked my advisor how many applications they received.  She said over 600. I still have questions, but didn't want to pester her. I guess I want to know how many qualified applicants are under review.

Hi everyone! I am extremely late to this forum, I definitely wish I found this earlier LOL. I have been extremely nervous about this whole application process especially because of the video essay's. I just graduated from Texas Tech in May with my BS in Human Sciences w/ concentrations in HDFS, human sciences, and health professions. I have an overall GPA of 3.3 and a science GPA of 3.0, I also have 2 years of healthcare experience. In 2020 I applied twice to the traditional BSN program at TTU but unfortunately was rejected. This is my 1st time applying to the ABSN program and I was pretty confident until I did the video essay's and now I'm even more nervous to see that there were 600 applicants??? Does anyone happen to know (roughly) how many people are accepted overall? I am extremally nervous and I don't think I can take another rejection email LOL. I am trying to remain confident and manifest getting in but this whole waiting period is making me a nervous wreck. Anyways, I am wishing everyone the best of luck and I hope to get the chance to meet some of y'all!
