It’s probably too early to start this thread.. but is anyone planning on applying to TTU’s ABSN program for 2022?
In the past, you just had to complete the CNA course. Taking the state exam was not required. You could always reach out to admissions to clarify for this year!
As far as how many students at each location, it depends on how many site coordinators they have because they can only have 10-15 students per coordinator. This year I think there were about 40 students at Austin, Dallas, and Lubbock, and 10-20 at the other sites.

Great!! Thank you so much!!
Hi @Sallyt I'm not sure which city you live in, but I did the Clinical Terminology for International and U.S. Students online through Coursera/University of Pittsburg. I believe the course was free and I had to pay $50 for the certificate of completion.
I completed my CNA course in Plano at Brightside Institute. It was a 3 week course that was around $825 if I remember correctly, but that was way back in 2015. (I first applied in 2016 but withdrew for personal reasons then reapplied and am currently in the 2021 cohort). They still accepted that for my 2021 application and I did not have to retake the course or sit for the state exam (my license is obviously expired by this point).
I did my BLS certification in Round Rock through KareCore. I did the classroom portion online and then went to the instructor's house and did a one-on-one skills session on her front porch. Her name is Paula and she was fantastic! I'm not sure how the setup has changed as covid protocols have evolved, but I loved how she did it last year.

I emailed Sonia - you don't even have to pay for the certificate as long as you can show proof you completed the course. I am taking one through coursera and plan to screenshot the completed course
Hi everyone,
I've applied and I'm hoping to get into the Dallas cohort and Austin as my second option. I've submitted all the documentation, but was wondering how everyone is working on their medical terminology certification? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I've also sent my transcript over, but it still shows as missing does anyone have any other way to get in contact with Sonia?
Thanks!

How long has it been since you submitted your app?
Has anyone heard about an admissions meeting??

I am! I read somewhere that the Austin cohort accepts more students, so I'm hoping that is true. I also don't want to move out of Austin for school.
It depends on your experience. I'm graduating from an LVN program and they told me that counts as experience, so I would email them and check!
