It’s probably too early to start this thread.. but is anyone planning on applying to TTU’s ABSN program for 2022?

Yes I plan to but I lost the name/link. Do you recall it by chance?

I have a few questions for anyone whose currently in the program. How do you like it? I don’t plan on working so I can focus on school (if I get in), but I keep hearing it’s mainly independent, how are you managing it? Are there any physical locations for the school or is it all online and you just finished clinicals at a hospital? How is the work load?
Also, how long after your pre-reqs being evaluated did you receive an interview?

It’s VERY independent we don’t have lectures.
You go to campus for sim labs and post conference and all exams are on campus. So you’ll be on campus at least 5Xs a month maybe more
the workload some weeks are better than others. Some weeks you can have assignments, multiples tests, sim, and still have to do your clinicals. My best advice is get a calendar and plan out everything!
we got notifications of interviews around mid Aug. I was in the first round of acceptance which was Sept 17.

Hi all! I created a thread for the 2023 cohort as I found it really helpful when I was applying to the program. Here is the link:

Hi Robertaj, I would like to ask which cohort are you in? I am in San Antonio and I am not sure if we have a Sim lab in my area.

Hi,
I’m applying for Spring 2023 - Dallas program. Did you ever hear back? If so and you started the program, may I ask if you like it? Any recommendations for success?
Thanks in advance!

Hi! I am in the process of applying to the Dallas cohort. Do you have any tips you can share? I just submitted my application and now it’s a waiting game. I was accepted to Baylor but the tuition is super high and I’d rather attend Texas Tech - Dallas.

I just found a 4 week CNA course through healthcare career center located in round rock that does the first 10 days of lecture via zoom, then clinical portion is the other two weeks at their facility. All the Google reviews are really good. Their website is https://www.nurse-aides.com/.
