  1. Hi I'm Alli- I'm finishing up my second year at TCU and I also just started clinicals last month! Feel free to text or shoot me an email if long-form is more your style :) 512.645.4456 [email protected]
  2. Congratulations! I've been wondering if their accreditation went through. Super exciting!!
  3. Ah gotcha! Yeah I got accepted at TCU which started in January! I was going to still interview and hope to hear back before TCU started but when the email said decisions wouldn't be made until accreditation was done in February, I decided to go ahead and accept at TCU. Just started a few weeks ago!
  4. What did the email say? I withdrew my application but I'm curious about their status too!
  5. I got an interview too! ? congrats everyone! Bummer their accreditation got pushed out again. I was really hoping to hear back by the end of the year.
  6. I applied to the Austin location! Has anyone heard back for Austin interviews yet? They told us we'd likely interview in December but didn't say when we'd be notified, or how many they'd be interviewing. I'm curious how many applications they've received- what are the chances someone on here has asked that same question of admissions already and gotten an answer?
  7. @Cvicu1005 The stats I was told: 256 apps, 141 interviews, 80 offers, 13 alternates
  8. Nope, I haven't heard anything since I replied confirming I want to be in the pool of alternates.
  9. @baristanurse oh really? I assumed they had to have a ranking system and then just go down the list. Otherwise I have no idea...
  10. I just got my email too- I'm an "alternate" so basically waitlisted. Womp womp...but glad to not be waiting anymore. Good luck to everyone else! I bet they're all going out today!
  11. I will say there's comfort in knowing I'm not alone in my constant hovering in my email LOL and to answer the above- I was told "the next couple of weeks" when I asked in my interview on august 2
  12. I've been refreshing my email like a crazy person all day. Really hoping it's today!
  13. I'm not totally sure how they calculated it. They didn't tell me numbers, just mentioned that science was quite a bit lower and asked why. I did retake a couple courses and I assume it replaces the lower grade, but I don't know that for sure. I mentioned that in my interview as well. Personally, the difference for me was classes taken in my first undergrad in 2007-2011 when I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career (and made Bs and Cs in several classes) vs classes taken 10+ years later when I knew I wanted to be a nurse and a CRNA (and made almost all As). There's a VERY clear distinction in my grades pre-nursing (2014 and before) vs when I got my BSN in 2021 and all classes since then (including my GRE which matches my more recent grades). Even the interviewer said, "Having a 'why' makes all the difference" which was 100% true for me. I haven't taken any graduate level courses, but I retook a chemistry course and they asked me about it (what my experience with it was like, was it hard this time around, etc.) They wanted to know why I did so much better and seemed pleased with my responses, so having a story for why you're more motivated this time around when you're retaking classes I think will go a long way.
