Ah gotcha!
Yeah I got accepted at TCU which started in January! I was going to still interview and hope to hear back before TCU started but when the email said decisions wouldn't be made until accreditation was done in February, I decided to go ...
I applied to the Austin location! Has anyone heard back for Austin interviews yet? They told us we'd likely interview in December but didn't say when we'd be notified, or how many they'd be interviewing. I'm curious how many applications they've rece...
I just got my email too- I'm an "alternate" so basically waitlisted. Womp womp...but glad to not be waiting anymore. Good luck to everyone else! I bet they're all going out today!
I will say there's comfort in knowing I'm not alone in my constant hovering in my email LOL
and to answer the above- I was told "the next couple of weeks" when I asked in my interview on august 2
I'm not totally sure how they calculated it. They didn't tell me numbers, just mentioned that science was quite a bit lower and asked why. I did retake a couple courses and I assume it replaces the lower grade, but I don't know that for sure. I menti...
I had my interview at 8am and got the email at 545pm to rank clinical sites. Just filled it out- it does force you to choose 7 sites and rationalize your top 3, FYI.
@CardsRN2CRNA the website says august 31 so I asked if decisions would go out ON august 31 or BY the 31st, and they said by the 31st but likely much sooner! They are finishing interviews this Friday so hopefully they'll make decisions next week.
I had mine this morning. Same as above - very conversational and it was mostly personal and behavioral questions. Be able to talk about your experience, your why, etc.
They also asked about my GPA. I had a much lower GPA from my first undergrad ...
Mine is Wednesday at 8am. I've also heard they're not super clinical so I'm mostly preparing for emotional questions. I'm expecting more of those types but also I don't really know how to prepare for clinical questions. I do have an interesting clini...
I got a response from TCU that they received my form, but I haven't gotten the actual link yet. I'm sure it'll be in the next few days (I'm assuming TCU and the EQ-I company are both closed tomorrow for the holiday) since we have until the 12th!
@RN_16OK I just got an interview for the 2024 cohort and am requesting austin! How many of y'all are in Austin from your class? Was that your first choice?
Got my interview invite too!! Would love to hear from someone currently in the program what the interview was like if they can share? What types of questions should we prepare for (more clinical, behavioral, both?) Good luck to everyone!
Our cohort was faster. I think we actually had two rounds but our first round had interviews in late august and early September and got acceptance letters I think in late September. I’m not sure if they actually send anything if you don’t get an invi...
I’m from the 2021 ATX cohort and agree with pretty much everything Adam and Mitch said. Time management is key. The clinical component was far and away the best part of the program. I took a job in the unit I did my clinicals on and def didn’t feel l...
@mking128 there really wasn’t any lecture, it was all self study. They told us the material that we were expected to know and we were responsible for learning it. For me, the textbook was most helpful but I know some classmates preferred Youtube inst...
@DCV it's definitely not as science-based as a Microbiology or pathophysiology class, but it can def get nitty gritty, particularly in pharmacology, chronic care, and acute care. Overall, you're mostly tested on more practical knowledge - clinical ma...
