Texas Health Resources 2016 Versant Residency Program

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Didn't see a thread for this, so I'm making one.

This is for the 2016 THR Versant Residency Program.

This past week (Sept. 7-11, 2015) I noticed that some of the hospitals were starting to post their residency listings- like THR Fort Worth, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Denton, a couple from Southwest, and one from Cleburne and Plano. I've checked back every day to see if any new postings have been added from other hospitals, but I haven't seen any as of yet. I'm not sure when the rest will start posting, but hopefully we can keep each other up to date with any information we find out individually.

When I applied, I had to complete a one time behavioral type survey for first time applicants.

Anyway, any information you guys can share about the interviewing process, meet and greets, and anything else regarding the residency will be appreciated. And good luck to everyone!

Haven't heard a peep .

Women's services is the department I'm waiting to hear back from too!! :uhoh3:

Looks like the ED has filled all their positions. :nono:

I also have two forwarded to manager for L&D. I received a questionnaire from one of them and nothing from the other.

Texas health denton just posted an ER GN position I believe.

I am so grateful, blessed, and excited! I was offered a job today!

I am so grateful, blessed, and excited! I was offered a job today!

That is fantastic!!!!! Congrats!! :woot:

What department & where?

So happy for you!! :yeah:

I have 4 sent to the hiring manager and 1 under review for L&D and mother/baby for Denton, Southwest, and HEB. Just waiting/hoping to hear back soon. Does anyone know how long these processes can take? I'm in the process of interviewing with another facility, but am really wanting the THR job, so I'm just hoping I hear something sooner rather than later.

Also, I saw on another posting (from like 2011 or 2010) that the base pay is 23.50- is that still the same number? If anyone knows? I saw on the thread for the 2015 THR residency that differentials are about 3.50 for nights and 6.50/7.50 for weekends. Anyone know if that's pretty accurate?

Congrats Roxy! That's exciting!

Thanks 1mrsbs and newnurse75! The salary and differentials are still pretty reflective of what it is for this round/ or around those numbers. I was offered cardiac tele in Arlington  For me, from submission to interview took about one month which seems average but I guess it depends on the unit. Just so y'all know, the interview was a panel and the questions were open ended. I did a lot of practice nurse interview questions that you can find online and a mock interview with my friend. I'm so thankful for everyone's support on this thread! Y'all are awesome! I still am keeping y'all in my prayers that y'all get an awesome offer. Good luck to everyone and keep me posted!

This means they are seeing if you qualify for the job

Hi All, good luck to you all in your interview process. I accepted a position at Arlington Memorial about 2 weeks ago. The process was pretty easy. I had interviews in ED, ORTHO, and Med Surg. I accepted the med surg position. I look forward to meeting you guys in February! :)
