Texas Health Resources 2016 Versant Residency Program

Published

Didn't see a thread for this, so I'm making one.

This is for the 2016 THR Versant Residency Program.

This past week (Sept. 7-11, 2015) I noticed that some of the hospitals were starting to post their residency listings- like THR Fort Worth, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Denton, a couple from Southwest, and one from Cleburne and Plano. I've checked back every day to see if any new postings have been added from other hospitals, but I haven't seen any as of yet. I'm not sure when the rest will start posting, but hopefully we can keep each other up to date with any information we find out individually.

When I applied, I had to complete a one time behavioral type survey for first time applicants.

Anyway, any information you guys can share about the interviewing process, meet and greets, and anything else regarding the residency will be appreciated. And good luck to everyone!

Thanks for the comments and support Futurenurse, Roxy, and Nanik! I check my application status frequently to see if I get another interview spot. Keeping my fingers crossed!

For those who've gotten job offers, what's the process like after the interview?

Once an official offer is made it is a waiting game until 30 days prior to start at which time you do your drug tests, etc. Have to pass NCLEX before start obviously.

So who's starting in Feb? I start Feb at Southwest in ICU. I'm excited to hear some info on getting scrubs, training schedule, etc. I was told to wait and that we would do all our new hire stuff in Jan. Anyone heard anything yet?

I start in February as well at Arlington Memorial. I haven't heard anything from them yet, other than completing my initial welcome packet documents to complete. In the meantime, I'm keeping my self preoccupied by studying for NCLEX, since I still am waiting for my ATT letter as well. :nailbiting:

I was told to wait until Jan to do any of the welcome packet documents. I may email them and just check in. Good luck on the NCLEX!!! I took mine in July. The Hurst study guides really helped me.

I'm interviewing for a job at Arlington Memorial on Monday. So nervous but excited

Good luck!!! Let us know how it goes! What unit?

It's the Emergency Department and thank you so much. I'm preparing myself as much as possible.

Yay! I'm so excited! I took my NCLEX on the 15th and after 48 llloooonnngggg hours I passed and am officially an RN! :nurse: I can't wait to start in a month. I completed my paperwork and set up an appointment with HR, now I'm just waiting to see what our next steps are before orientation. Thanks for the kind words and support! See you in a month. :)

Anyone in the THR Versant program willing to cough up the starting salary?

Just found out I passed my NCLEX yesterday! Officially a RN! Submitted all of my paperwork and have my physical assessment scheduled for 2/10 :) Meet and Greet on 2/12! Ready to get started!
