Texas Health Resources 2016 Versant Residency Program

Published

Didn't see a thread for this, so I'm making one.

This is for the 2016 THR Versant Residency Program.

This past week (Sept. 7-11, 2015) I noticed that some of the hospitals were starting to post their residency listings- like THR Fort Worth, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Denton, a couple from Southwest, and one from Cleburne and Plano. I've checked back every day to see if any new postings have been added from other hospitals, but I haven't seen any as of yet. I'm not sure when the rest will start posting, but hopefully we can keep each other up to date with any information we find out individually.

When I applied, I had to complete a one time behavioral type survey for first time applicants.

Anyway, any information you guys can share about the interviewing process, meet and greets, and anything else regarding the residency will be appreciated. And good luck to everyone!

jnl7974 DFW is starting their residents anywhere between 24-25 an hour depending on the hospital system.

Hi There! I too have received a GN Screen form. Im sorry for asking this but I need help in filling it out. What do you put in the "Requisition Title" are? Thank you for anyone who helps.

So I have my pre employment screening next week. Is anyone (or everyone) going to be at Arlington Hilton 2/22-2/24? I dont know if that's where we all start or just some of us. I heard the first day is business casual and then you can wear scrubs the rest, just went and bought my first pair of scrubs yesterday. :)

Hope to see some of you soon!

I also do have my health/HR screening next week. I haven't received any other email or word about our first week or orientation. Did they give you this information by email? I would like to buy my scrubs and start preparing as well. I'm going to the cohort gathering next week, so I didn't know if they would give us the information then.

My manager sent me a calendar for "group cohort" that starts 2/22 and had dates listed through May. Looks like the first 3 days are scheduled at Arlington Hilton for our cohort start. I went and bought one pair of scrubs yesterday. I was just told they had to be royal blue (kept my receipt JUST in case I need to take them back). Are you on FB? Maybe we can keep in touch as we start this. I'm on FB under Janelle Rowe.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll probably contact them tomorrow just to be sure about my schedule just to be safe but that's exciting. I don't have a FB but i look forward to seeing you in person!

Hi, I just want to know how are your experiences in the Versant RN program of THR. I sent an application recently and was contacted by a nurse recruiter and just sent back the form tonight. Can you please share your experiences with the program? How's the hours during training? I hope someone can help me with this. Thank you.

Hey guys! I was just wondering if anyone wouldnt mind telling us how the interview was and what kind of questions you were asked?

Thanks in advance

I had two interviews at the Fort Worth location. They were really not as bad as I thought they would be. I ended up getting a job offer for my second interview, the one I could have sworn I bombed. [emoji30]

Anyways, they asked about what problem you had solved in your previous jobs?

I was secretary in an ER & I told them everyday I dealt with problems as I was the first one people loved to complain to. Lol

They asked where do I see myself in 5 years.

Why I chose their floor.

What I would contribute to the floor.

How I would deal with a problem on the floor, like of another nurse was constantly late, someone not following procedures, etc

It wasn't so bad because I thought I was gonna be drilled for an hr or so but the interview was probably about 20 mins.

I was nervous & jumbled my words &&&&& forgot a question as soon as they asked me because I was so nervous....just breathe & ask them to clarify when you get lost or don't know what to say :)

Good luck on interviews you have :)

Thank you for sharing! It helped me having an idea on what they will ask. For future applicants, confidence is the key! I got a job offer today! Yay! Im so excited!
