Texas Health Resource

Published

Hi:nurse:

Has anyone ever worked for Texas Health Resource in the Dallas or surrounding areas?? Any good or bad stories or in between?? Just curious. How do they compare to Baylor? What hospitals or medical facilities would you recommend for good places for employment in the DFW area including Plano, Allen,Frisco and Carrolton-possibly Richardson as well.

Thanks!!!:)

*sigh* Their HR over there works at one pace... turtle. Well, that could be said about most of the hospitals in Dallas. I don't know why. I've dealt with HR's in other metro areas and they rocketed my resume around. :lol2:

Specializes in ICU/CCU/Oncology/CSU/Managed Care/ Case Management.

I thought everything was BIG in Texas--NOT SLOW:lol2:

Specializes in L&D/Antepartum, Neuro.

I work @ THR-Arlington. It's a smaller hospital that mostly tends to a lower economic class compared to places like Plano but staff here is friendly. I chose here mainly because it's close to home so it makes for a nice commute. I delivered my last child at Harris in Fort Worth and really like it over there. Pay is pretty competitive, twentytenRN was right in her estimate:)

Specializes in Med/Tele, Home Health, Case Management.

I used to work at Harris HEB and loved it! It's a friendly place and small enough that you don't get lost but big enough to have lots of different units. The staff and patient populations are diverse and there is a wonderful education department. The only drawback is that there is no covered parking.

Specializes in NICU, PICU, Family Medicine.

Hello,

I have a phone interview with a THR rep for GN positions. Any pointers/tips? I guess this is the initial step in the process.

Thanks.

What position are you interviewing for? I thought THR just forwarded you to the hiring manager and they interviewed you - guess I'm wrong.

Yesuba- how was your interview with THR?

Meggo- Did you interview for the ED?

I can only speak as a patient of Fort Worth downtown THR (Harris Methodist). I had preterm rupture of membranes and a 4 month early baby who was in the NICU until her due date. I got VERY familiar with the facility. Great doctors, even better nurses....I have a friend that works in Women's Services as an RN and loves it there. She's actually charge nurse now. GL!

Specializes in NICU, PICU, Family Medicine.

meggo and twnurse_2010
