Texas Health Resource

Published

Hi:nurse:

Has anyone ever worked for Texas Health Resource in the Dallas or surrounding areas?? Any good or bad stories or in between?? Just curious. How do they compare to Baylor? What hospitals or medical facilities would you recommend for good places for employment in the DFW area including Plano, Allen,Frisco and Carrolton-possibly Richardson as well.

Thanks!!!:)

Alias,

Its for a nurse supervisor position. I already got a job offer and now i am meeting with the CNO.

How is the hiring in Baylor. I mean do the only hire experience nurses, or just hire bsn. I am a experience nurse and planning to move to plano. I am currently enrolled in BSN. What are my chances?

Specializes in Med-Surge, Tele, PCU, CVICU, NSICU.
Thanks for the wonderful info Twentyten!

Since you seem to be the expert, do you know anything about the Fort Worth THR facilities? Especially Harris HEB? I appreciate all the help! :)

I am finishing up a 13 week contract at HEB and I really like it. A smaller facility. Everyone is awesome!

Oh and also THR pay scale is higher than Baylor but Baylor has better benefits

Whatever you do, do not go to Parkland. I tried it, since they are building a new facility and was so disappointed. Now I see why it's in the news all the time. If you are a good experienced nurse, all the little inexperienced nurses attack. And it's because they don't know what they are doing. Management is incompetent. Standard of care is a joke. I thought the VA was better and I have worked all over the US. Good luck! Magnet means the nurses are happy- always good. I work at THR now.

10 year nurse pay is $40/hr. It really is the cream of the crop, you really have to be a good nurse to get in.
