It is just terrible what is going on back home again in Scotland and London. My thoughts go out to my home country and all the stress they must be going through.
even made 1 arrest inAustralia with another one assisting with enquiries. The one arrested had a 1 way ticket to India and hadn't even resigned from job or even told anyone at work he wouldn't be working. Obviously understands patient care and not worried about leaving collegues in a bind

Different mind set Anna - I can't fathom it out
Turns out one of the doctors arrested yesterday worked at my hospital recently speechless
It's really scary when it becomes that close to youor own experience, isn't it?
5 of them that are being investigated are actually licensed physicians. And in Al Queda and Hamas, the two top leaders are actually physicians as well. At least from what is being posted over in the US right now, it is expected that these guys were sleeper cells and that this had been planned for years, first for them all coming over in 2004, and easier for them to come in as physicians rather than students.
Guess that is going to change now. It is going to make it more difficult for physicians, and even nurses, more than likely. Especially from countries where these doctors are from.
It seems now that there's a definite medical link here - they've taken advantage of the trust placed in them. The checks that doctors go through here were focused on (obviously & rightly - well rightly up until now) their medical qualifications & ability to do their job not on their political or religious links. I too think that's now going to change across the Western world!
It just disgusts me that doctors can do this-I thought they were meant to preserve life. What I now what to know is have they caused any pts to loose life or suffer more than necessary in the hospitals where they were practicing! After all if they were prepared to kill via a car bomb then they have no morals or scruples
i would imagine that you wouldnt want to raise any doubts about yourself and retain your post to remain in the country, so they may have been good doctors.....
i read a book once that talked about people in positions like this becoming bombers, it said that its more common than anyone realises as people like doctors are almost beyond suspicion with that sort of crime and that its easier for someone like that to get a visa.
it also spoke about suicide bombers/extremists purposely having children for the 'cause' to use as suicide messangers, these children being taught early on that it was their destiny to ensure they recieved the bountiful life after death
i can never understand it, personally i think anyone found to be a member of such a faction in the uk should be imprisoned, or returned to their country of origin or both! extremist groups like that should certainly be banned, much like when it was illegal to be a member of communist groups etc after all, surely anyone with a belief that taking lives for their god is a good thing is a danger to society?
