Motlow Applicants 2014

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hey everyone! Just wanted to create a place for potential Motlow Nursing students for fall 2014 to converse, ask questions, and get to know each other. Anyone out there? If so, which campus do you hope to attend? I live near Lavergne, so Smyrna campus will be my home base.

For those of you who have questions about the process over the next 6 months, I went through all of the application/acceptance/orientation/etc steps last year, but had to withdraw 3 weeks before classes started due to a financial aid fiasco...so I know what's to come and would be glad to clarify anything for you.

Good luck to everyone and hope to be meeting you all this summer!

What was your HESI score & GPA?

HESI score was a 90, and GPA is a 3.4 (due to a few horrible grades back when I first started my college career). As far as the A&Ps, Micro, and all of the pre-reqs go...I have straight As.

That's pretty close to what mine was. I had a 90.4 HESI score & a 3.81 or 3.855 GPA. (I can't recall which). I'll have to send you a message tomorrow... I'm exhausted.

Are you an applicant for this fall? Or are you already in the program?

does motlow care in which order you complete pre-reqs and the time length they are completed?

If you haven't completed said pre-reqs and plan to incorporate them into your nursing courses, then they have a 'Program of Study' that lays out which courses should be taken during each semester.

Program of Study

The only courses that have some sort of time frame on them (that I'm aware of) are the A&Ps, which have to be completed within 5 years of admission to the program.

i had thought about taking english/ humanities first, math second and sciences 3rd.

I assume you're taking all of these prior to the program? If so, there's no set order they need to be taken in, so that's fine. I think it would be ideal to take your 'sciences' last anyway, so that it will be fresh in your brain when you do enter the program.

Has anyone else applied to Motlow for this fall?? I know I can't be the only one! :bored:

Hi, i am an applicant for motlow nursing 2014. My GPA is 4.0 and my HESI is 89.6. I am hoping to be at the moore county campus.

I also applied for Molows nursing program but at the Smyrna location. I just took the Hesi and received a 81.2...not very good but it was the first time I had ever taken it. My GPA is 4.0. According to the calculations on motlows website, the GPA is worth 300 points and the Hesi is worth 500 points. The highest possible score would be a 800, my results are 705. I'm not sure that's high enough. Last year 800 applied and only 80 were accepted. They are only accepting 80 this year too.

Good luck to you guys!
