NOTE: If one of the above books is no longer used at all, or if it's been replaced by an entirely different text book, then just let me know and I'll lower the price :)

Hey everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your summer and getting ready for the semester to start! Here's a list of textbooks that I am selling (I'm a recent grad)...I prefer to sell them as a lot for $400. Hi and thanks! I would recommend renting it, as I sold mine back once the semester was over. However, some did find it useful to refer back to if they needed to refresh on particular dosage calculations throughout the program. With that said, I made it by just fine without it, so I'm sure you would too.

There is not a set clinical schedule unfortunately. The class will be divided into smaller clinical groups and sent to different locations on either Tues, Thurs, or Fri. This schedule won't be complete until after the semester starts, as several things factor into it, including any pre-reqs that people are taking in addition to the program. As far as telling work...you won't have anything concrete until August. This is a fulltime program, so if you're able to work only weekends, I would highly suggest doing so. I know that's pretty impossible for most people...but so is surviving 1st semester with a fulltime job! Here's my schedule from 1st semester, to give you an idea of what it may look like: Mon - lecture 9a-12p Tues - CNL (8 hr lab presentation or 3 hr practice, depending on the material/week) Weds - lecture 9a-12p Thurs - Clinical @ NHC Murfreesboro 6:30a-3p Fri - OFF from school, but full day of clinical paperwork due by midnight So basically, 2 days of lecture, 1 day of lab, 1 day for clinical (and 1 more for paperwork). This does not include any study time, which you will need lots of!

Hi and congrats to everyone who's been accepted! So exciting!!! I am a soon-to-be grad from this program (just took our last final TODAY) and I'm already doing inventory on my massive collection of textbooks from the last 2 years. I plan to get rid of most of them, with the exception of Med-Surg Nursing and drug books, so I'll be happy to sell them to one of you for 1/2 the cost of what I paid back when we started (books cost like $800+). I know you guys won't get your book list until orientation this summer, so I will post a list later on of what I'm selling so you can compare it to what you need. Again congrats to all of you and get ready for the hardest & most rewarding experience of your life!!

Haha yeah...my books take up an entire shelf of my bookcase. You will NOT be bringing all of those books with you everywhere, so don't stress about that. Definitely a full bag, but not 2 I bought a heavy duty L.L.Bean backpack and it's been perfect so far.

I would highly suggest waiting until spring or summer to take Micro....definitely not 1st semester! You'll already have a full load with 1410 (Nursing 1), 1400 (online class), and Dosage Calc if you haven't taken that yet. Several of my classmates took the online summer class and it's fairly easy from what I've heard. Good luck!

Hey everyone! Congrats to all of you who made it in!! :) I'm a 2nd year SNA member, so I was at orientation and had the pleasure of talking to some of you. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and hopefully you feel like you have a better grasp on what's to come! I'm sure it's a bit overwhelming, so please...don't be afraid to ask questions if you need clarity on anything. Tip: You all have quite a few requirements to complete this summer, so start knocking those out sooner than later. This will allow time to deal with any issues or obstacles, should they arise. Good luck!

I think it's 2 days of lecture, 1 day of lab, and 1 day of clinical....I think.

As of right now, no. My husband intends to be Superman and hold down the fort while I'm in school. lol. Depending on how things go this year, I may look for a part-time position next summer. I really don't want to add a work schedule into the craziness either, if I don't have to...but the experience would be a huge plus!

Wow...very nice. The thought of 3rd shift makes me cringe, so I'm trying to avoid it for as loooong as possible lol. But if you can handle it, then that's a perfect schedule!
