Hello, I just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the LVN or RN programs at Temple College for 2015. We can share information, discuss any concerns, talk about the HESI exam, getting cleared through the Board of Nursing, or the just nursing program in general! Those of you that are already in the program are more than welcome to chime in.
PLEASE NOTE: I am in no way taking responsibility for any wrong information given, nor will I moderate this thread. I just want to meet new friends and support one another through the process of applying and getting our acceptance letters!
I'm in the same boat! I got accepted into the LVN class and waiting to hear back for the ADN. The ADN secretary told me that she will send an email out when the letters are mailed out. The LVN secretary told me we would find out one week before the LVN program started. So I'm guessing maybe Friday (hopefully!) but most likely Tuesday since they are closed on Memorial Day!
I was wondering if anyone would know the answer to this question.
Concerning the pre-req and co-req courses, is there a time limit as
to how old they can be?
I know that the science courses usually have to be taken within the
past 5 years for most admission to nursing programs, but the other
courses like Psych and Engl how old can they be?

I do not know the answer but I will speculate Lol. For temple I believe he science courses were 10 years and as far as I know their are now restrictions to how old your non science courses can be.

Nancy Miller (ADN Secretary) told me this afternoon that those applying who have already been accepted into the VN program will get an email as soon as decisions are made, with acceptance or denial. Regular applicants will be sent acceptance letters via snail mail, denials via email. She wouldnt give me hard dates on when this all would happen, just "end of May," "before June 1st, " "we're doing our best/there are only so many of us" answers and strained facial expressions.
Someone else above said something about the nursing voicemail stating emails and letters going out this Monday. Sounds about right. Itll have to be some time next week.
