I started taking courses for a BSN program back in 2011 and had to put my education to the side for a while because life got hard while doing my pre-requisites so I decided I would attempt Nursing once my kids got older, they were 1 and 2 at the time, and things were easier for me financially HAHA. Fast forward 6 long and hard years...I was still struggling...as a matter of fact the ONLY thing that changed was my mindset...and when 2017 rolled around I told myself OK enough is enough..I will be a nurse by 30!! It took me another year to put things into motion and I decided LPN was the route for me due to my situation and then Ill bridge later.....December 2018 I started my LPN program...I have literally gotten 3 eviction notices during the program but somehow made it work financially last minute..Almost failed out of the program when I got to Med Surg but it made me go into overtime and I made it out by leaving my job and going into overtime with my studies....Graduated December 5th 2019..Took my NCLEX on 01/17/2020.....85 questions....1 panic attack...3 Pearson Vue tricks, 48 hours, and a quick result purchase later.....I'm a nurse!! Never give up!! My 30s WILL BE BETTER than my 20s
Congrats!!! Sounds like you have has to push through a lot to make your dream come true. It can only go up from here. That level of dedication will make you a great nurse!
