I just got my e-mail notification that I AM ACCEPTED for the fall at my school's ADN program!!!!!!!!! I immediately called my husband who has been gone for 3 weeks.
How much joy can anybody take!?!? I am 47, my son will get married this weekend and I will fly to Florida to the wedding, a grandchild may also be on the way.....I am sooooooo happy!

Congratulations, that is awesome! I know how you feel because, Thank God, I was accepted into my schools' ADN program and begin in the fall. 400+ applied and they only take 40. Who says grown men don't cry? When I opened that envelope this 42yr old man couldn't stop! It's like a huge weight was lifted off- I'm so relieved. Again congratulations, we've still got a lot of work ahead but we WILL be RNs!

You will make a GREAT nurse. Some of the best nurses I ever had were men.
Now off to the paper work....drug testing, CPR certification etc. I am so overwhelmed right now and worry that I miss the deadlines for the million things that I need to do before I can register for classes.
WE WILL BE RNs. BTW, it's ok to cry, we have good reason because we worked soooooo hard to get to this point. I would never think less of a man for crying. Good luck and stay in touch.

The last day of school a few of us got together for :beercuphe to celebrate the end of the pre-requisites and to moving on.
I know there will be lots of :smilecoffeeIlovecof and ahead from lack of sleep, but it will be so worth it in the end.
I will never forget you guys, you've been such tremendous help! It was such a surprise since I thought that the notifications wouldn't be sent until the end of May! I almost fainted
It will take a day or so to sink in.....I even called my Mother-in-law
you hang in there, you will get in also....if I get in then anyone will!!!!!

I have a superstition I won't by a stethascope until I get accepted so when I do I am going to buy a really nice one as a gift to myself LOL.
