I am starting this for anyone who is applying for the TCC RN program in August.

I found some "heat n' bond" for my patches so I don't have to sew them on. :D well at least I hope it works lol. Also, I bought some of those plastic ID pouches, they came in a 12 pack, so if you guys don't have one let me know, & ill sell you guys one for a quarter a piece :) lol jk. but seriously, I don't need 12 of them when I only have one ID. You'll just need to get the little clip for it.

No news from this alternate yet.

Today, I saw 3 TCC RN students in line at Subway at THR Harris Methodist Downtown Fort Worth and I was just thinking how much I would REALLY like to be in their shoes soon!!

Here's to hoping that good news comes soon to all the alternates!

I am very curious to know if the "heat n' bond" works! I havent got my patches yet, but I did buy three tops and two bottoms along with some very comfortable shoes. The shoes busted my budget, even with the discount.:uhoh3:

I will let you know if it does or not. I'm.gonna try it out tomorrow. Don't forget to order your name tags when you get your patches :). What kind of shoes /scrubs did you get? i think i got a pretty good deal on my stuff since i bought it online...I know what you mean about the whole "budget" thing, I put aside money every week to make sure I will have enough for everything, then just spread out my expenses. Just wait until we have to buy books...

I called Dorothy's scrubs in fort worth and they told me that everything in the store will be on sale. It will be 25-50%!!! We won't be able to get the student discount with it but it's still a good deal. Oh btw they sell shoes n stethoscopes...

rossy- that's great!! did they say if the sale was at all scrub etc? stores? the one.off precinct has a massive selection.. but I'm def. gonna go!

cross- I know! I just figured that if its not mandatory then I wont do it. That $80 can go towards something we really need...
