Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

Well, I didn't end up having time to take the online practice test V form B before my TEAS on 2-22, but it turned out OK, anyway. My TEAS score was about the same as the practice score. Oddly, my math score was higher on the practice test, but my science and spelling/punctuation scores were higher on the TEAS. Adjusted Individual Scores:

.......ati practice test ........TEAS

Math .........96.7............... 86.7

Science .....79.2............... 89.6

English ......80.0............... 90.0

Adj. Total ..88.7............... 90.0

I'm OK with that and my GPA; I'm just seriously worried I left something blank on my application. I was so anxious to turn it in, I forgot to make a copy of it and now I can't go back and reassure myself that I didn't leave off something important!

I am worried that I left something out also. I even called yesterday to ask about a few things, just in case I needed to turn anything else in. I am getting more stressed each day. Just hope my grades and scores are good enough. If anyone finds out how many applicants there were please post it.

Thanks and good luck!

I heard 121 WC, 250ish TCC as of noonish yesterday.

250 isn't too bad.

Secretary at TCC said that they were still coming in that day though.

Today is the last to turn them in right? So hopefully tomorrow they will have a final number. And now the waiting begins!

Actually, I thought the deadline was yesterday. It says on the application packet but I know that on the website it says March 1.

found it. It says here and on the application packet.

I'm struggling with remaining positive, but not getting my hopes up. I want it even more after spending Sunday at the hospital with my husband. He had an accident with a table saw. Two fingers cut off. One reattached, and one partially amputated. It will be such a rewarding job. I can't wait.

I hope your husband is okay despite his accident.

You just have to stay positive and know that you have done the best that you can right now. Try to stay as busy as possible and the end of April/beginning of May will be here before you know it. If this makes you feel any better, the Fall 09 applicants received their letters around April 12. Right now that is the my goal, get through the first two weeks of April. :)

Thanks! I'm glad that no more can be turned in! Hopefully they will have them all counted soon!!!

Thanks, My husband is doing well, considering. I am staying busy with work and children, so hopefully it will fly by.
