Hello,
I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
Question for those who have taken the TEAS twice...
Did yall take it twice in the same application period? Or at the same location (like TCC) both times? I was just curious because TCC nursing website says applicants can only take it once per application period and twice total. I know some people that wanted to re-take it for this application period but couldn't because of those restrictions. So I was just wondering if yall took it last application period and are just applying for the program in this period or what. Sorry, was just confused.
rooroo17- your science grades are perfect and your TEAS are great! I really don't think you have anything to worry about as long as your A&P is OK...
I'm so thankful that there are only 28 days in February this year. One less day waiting.
Has anyone asked the secretary if they are in fact accepting more this fall or does anyone have any idea how many applicants we have thus far? Around the first couple of weeks into February, she told me there were around 80-100.
The wait is the hardest part so far. Harder than all those sciences combined.
I called last week and she said they were accepting 100. I didn't even think to ask how many applications they had accepted. waiting is def the hardest part!! If it's anything like the last accepted class for spring 11 then maybe we will get our letters the second week of April. Wishful thinking at least!
100 spots sounds so little.
I know! I got extremely anxious when I heard that number! I am right in the middle of the TEAS scores that have been posted (some are mid 70's, but most are mid 80's. I have an overall adjusted of 80.6).
Last year, letters were received starting on May 1st. I am not going to hold my breath to see them any sooner than that. But of course, if any one hears of what day they will be mailed out when the time comes, please let us know! I personally think making us wait until May is pure torture!
I also heard from a friend who is applying through JPS (Thank goodness she isn't a part of the 100) that when she took her test, she stayed and compared scores with a few people that had also taken the test, and those scores were also low.
I really think that it is all a 50/50 chance now.

How did she do, and what kind of scores was she seeing from everyone else?

So I applied for the fall 2011 semester as well. I am nervous because of my overall GPA for their requirements. I have a 4.0 in my sciences but only a 3.2 in all classes. My TEAS test scores are pretty good. 97.5 in reading, 91.1 in math, 83.3 in science, and 85.5 in english, with and Adjusted Ind. Total score of 88.8 and National Percent ranking of 97. Also I am re-taking a&p 1 because it just expired. Bev said that if it just expired it may still be ok, but I"m still most worried about that! Just wanted to post and share my nervous feelings with others who are just as nervous:)
