Tarrant County College?

Hello to everyone! I'm brand new to this site, but already finding lots of great information. Are any of you familiar with or applying to Tarrant County College ASN program? I'm in the dreaded wait until the first part of May. I took my TEAS exam last weekend and did really well so I'm hoping for the best! I look forward to getting to know each of you better.

I can't possibly imagine anything that would keep me out of the TCC program once I have micro on my transcript. The advisor told me that once I have it, I should be able to get into any school I want to.

Right now, it's just a wait and see.

The other campus for nursing is in Farmer's Branch. right? That wouldn't be that bad for me except for fighting 635 traffic...UGH!

Well, if South campus is the closest thing to you, then I guess it doesn't really matter ;)

There is a nursing program at Brookhaven, but I don't really know much about it. It uses points and stuff to get in and is pretty new.

Nope, NE campus would be completely ideal for me!

If I don't get in this semester I think I'm just going to enjoy some extra time with my two girls and take my PE class. Pretty relaxed!

I *wish* they'd offer nursing at the TCC NE campus! That would be sweet!

I took my PE last summer :) It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. And, I'm sure your girls will love the time with you ;)

Have you heard anything yet ? I know the deadline for sending in the acceptance form was this last Monday. If you haven't, then you'll probably have to wait until the start of the semester. There may be some people that change their minds at the last minute, or there may be some that fail the drug test.

Were the letters due last Monday, or just this past Monday, the 1st?

I might have to call and bug them just out of curiousity. :)

A little more info....

I did call just to see if I could get any information. I first talked to what I think must be the general secretary and she told me that a couple of alternates had been called but that the alternates were not on an ordered list and the committee selects the next one that they want to call when a spot becomes open. Then she transferred me to what I consider the official secretary (Katy, the lady that we spoke about). She said that she was going to be calling a couple people today off of the list. She did say that she had not moved very far down the list as of yet which makes me feel as though it really IS an ordered list and they just work their way down. She made a good point that some people might be on the UTA alternate list and get in there and then turn their spot down here later. Basically, it really is all a waiting game, and I'm right in the thick of it! :) Thanks for checking on me. You'll have to let me know how orientation goes on Friday!

The deadline was this past Monday the 1st...sorry for the confusment. I sure hope you get called soon. I'll let you know how orientation goes. Keeping my fingers crossed for you as well.
