Published

Hi everyone,

I will apply TCC Nursing school for Spring 2011. I will do my TEAS on 09/18 then apply.

Just want to share some info about your GPA, TEAS score, and some of the tips for the TEAS test.

I study a lot for the test but still nevous.... cross my finger.

My GPA overall: 4.0

TEAS score: i will know later

vivian I have called around and there are several stores in the area that have both littman and ultrascopes for you to sample in store. I will be doing this this weekend before making the investment. Haven't looked at books yet, what is the issue with ordering online?

You so rock. can you post which stores, or PM me with them??

Thanks!

yes please post which stores have ultrascopes, i really would love one, but would like to try on before buying it online..thanks=)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Can you post the address of the store that both have Littman and Ultrascope?

I would like to go around and shop for it too

Some of the textbooks for Foundation (Kozier) and Skills, they are pack together as

a bundle at the bookstore. So if you buy the whole package,it would be cheaper, and they also

have some online components like My Nursing lab. If we buy seperate online the cost may be the same

so we can save our time too. These info I read it somewhere in all nurse forum. So I not sure about it.

We may ask txmommyof3,she may have some good advice for us

Im exciting to go to the orientation on Friday

Sorry for the delay cohorts, PRN Uniforms(817-466-8091) on cooper in arlington has Ultrascopes to listen to but no littmans(american diagnostics and mds) and scrubs etc(817-282-6735) in hurst has both Littman and Ultrascopes to listen to. I am sooooo ready for friday, don't let them scare you guys, we are proactive enough to be cruising websites and doing the legwork beforehand we are going to kick butt in nursing school. study groups anyone???

thanks a lot. You rock. I think study group will be a good idea.

As far as textbooks go. I recommend buying at the bookstore for the Foundations semester. There after you can use online sources or other students finishing up the semester ahead of you. In Foundations there are many resources that are bundled together that you need and from seeing others go the online route, they ended up spending more money buying all the components seperately. At the Orientation on Friday, we (TNSA) will be raffling the Kozier Foundations textbook and online component for $1 a ticket or 6 for $5.

Friday is almost here. See everyone there.

Stephanie

I am confused as to how many of the books we will need 1st semester are included in the package. Is it a complete set or just foundations books? Also in your experience txmommy of 3 how many people sale their books. Random question, do we need to know conversion factors for drams, minims, and grains? what are the ones we should focus on?

hey guys!ILL SEE YOU FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!IM IN!!!!!!! thank you for all the support, i was going crazy!!!

txmommy, does TCC have an active placement program set it place for graduates of the Nursing Program?

Just in case you didn't see this the first time around txmommy... I was curious if TCC had an active placement program set in place to help graduates of the program get a job. Or maybe those of you who've been accepted can answer this question for me after your Orientation on Friday.
