Hi everyone,

I will apply TCC Nursing school for Spring 2011. I will do my TEAS on 09/18 then apply.

Just want to share some info about your GPA, TEAS score, and some of the tips for the TEAS test.

I study a lot for the test but still nevous.... cross my finger.

My GPA overall: 4.0

TEAS score: i will know later

I must agree with lorocoro, those ultrascopes look awesome, are reasonably priced, and had some pretty good reviews. Thanks for the heads up antichick, I think I will try an Ultrascope as well.

Thanks, from everything I saw they are better than the average steths (look at me using medical contractions...lol) but not as good as littman cardio III that cost almost double. This seems to be better than most unless you need a specialized steth.

I haven't used a Littman 3. It looks pretty good, but I'm gonna stick with the Ultra, I think. At least the L3 doesn't have the double tubes... I despise the sound of them rubbing together. :)

And no, I've been trying to find out more about the books and the e-text option, and have found very little. I figure we'll find out lots next Fri.

i moved up to number six on the list....gosh i hope to get a call soon!!.... i wish someone was in the same boat...so sad not knowing whats gonna happen day by day...=(

you will make it, just try not to worry too much about it. today is the deadline for turning in acceptance letters, I'm positive everyone won't get it in and you will hear something early next week in time for orientation. have faith

Just some question about books. i read some of the all posts, some of TCC Nursing students reccommend that

they just buy the books at the book store due to online components? Did you guys look around for books yet?

I usually buy textbooks online, but this time maybe something is different.

To theantichick: did you order Unltracopes online? I now looking for a good sthelescope, so i don't know between Littman and ultrascope, do u think which one better?

I hear my friend tell me that Nursing books are very pricey.... just nervous to go to the bookstore to see the price.

I haven't gotten a steth yet, because I'm waiting for a check to come in. But I'll be buyin the ultrascope online. the only thing I haven't decided is if to get a Duo so I have a pediatric head to switch out. I don't think I'll particularly need it, but...
