I graduated from nursing school December 2012. I had to tie up some legal issues and am now preparing to take my boards. I took the Kaplan course in January and have access to study the Hurst review. Any thoughts on how to prep myself for the test? I feel since it has been so long my zest to study has just fizzled. Thanks!

Kaplan had a study outline posted in their ebook. It mentioned doing 150 questions a day, and doing the qtrainers. I tried following it but I got burned out lol.

Mirela congrats on your success after many years post graduation. Will you please share your hurst qt scores? I am taking the exam on Tuesday. I used the Hurst review and Kaplan since my school offered it. So far my Hurst scores are 91/125, 85/125, 85/125, 89/125. Also please break down your question types like SATA, drag and drop, ect. Thanks

Thx :) I decided to take my exam early so tomorrow is d-day for me. I feel confident. I know I have prepared myself as much as possible and I know God is going to bless me to conquer the NCLEX. I will keep you posted
Take your time, I answered 87 qt in 2.5 hrs lol, if u can't answer qt based on knowledge use Kaplan strategies , look for key words do what ever it takes just don't rush :) Good luck , you will be fine :$

If u know your Hurst core content( w/o hesitation and doubt) like lady said , and if you use their strategies ( Kaplan, Hurst), use Saunders CD for questions do as many as u can, practice SATA qt, my nclex was 40% SATA, do all Hurst qt and u can answer any question out there, good luck & keep me updated!!!
Thanks so much. Wow... I took the test today and it shut off at 81 questions :) I knew I passed because my test came straight out of the Hurst core content! I did the PVT and got the good pop up yaaaay I'm so excited. I will let you guys know when I get my unofficial results. I left the testing center smiling. I had 26 SATAs uugh lol:yes:
