Taking nursing boards 1 year after graduation

I graduated from nursing school December 2012. I had to tie up some legal issues and am now preparing to take my boards. I took the Kaplan course in January and have access to study the Hurst review. Any thoughts on how to prep myself for the test? I feel since it has been so long my zest to study has just fizzled. Thanks!

You will pass Chicagoboy :) My version of the NCLEX came straight out of the Hurst core content. Also my questions were similar to the Hurst practice exams. It looked like a Kaplan QT (screen) but read like Hurst. Very straight forward and I knew exactly what the questions were asking. The NCLEX in my opinion was easier than Kaplan and equal in difficulty with the Hurst Q Reviews. However the SATAs were pretty easy I thought. I mean they had to be for me to get 26 out of 81 and get the good pop up :) I'm still excited about being done with NCLEX. To God be the glory!

Hi was wondering how exam cram worked for you? Are the NCLEX QUESTIONS more similar to exam cram or Saunders??? Did either of them help u in saying oh yea I remember that from the questions??? Nething like that??? the SATA is what is sooo nervous about I take mine on the 28th!!!

Practicing exam cream qt helped me but I think Saunders qt was harder than nclex in my opinion and more similar to nclex, try to practice SATA qt on Saunders CD, read exam cream tips (u know that card on very begining of the book), Do u have Hurst? Good luck!
