I wanted to start a thread about the upcoming application process for SUNY Downstate ABSN. There is a fantastic thread for the previous round of applications last year, and I thought this would be a good forum for us to share any information that we might have about Downstate's admission process as we go through it together. I submitted (w/ LORs also uploaded and complete) on October 15.

Waiting is painful/nerve wracking. I hope you hear back and get a chance to interview as well :)

Downstate made my morning!!!! Got called for an interview this morning.

No email. For me at least, I was contacted about an interview via telephone.

No, no. Sorry if my answer was confusing. The call today was to set up an interview date. They offered time slots for next week for an on-site interview. Hope this info helps.

Just look out for a (718) phone number they'll call you before they email you.

I told students this at the open house, but try to schedule your interview earlier because its rolling admission and seats fill up as interviews are conducted.

Has anyone else had a recommender say they couldn't upload a recommendation letter? Currently stressing over this right now. I told him to try another browser to upload.

@michelle does this mean that they contact students based on how much they like the applicant? Still have yet to receive a call :(
