I wanted to start a thread about the upcoming application process for SUNY Downstate ABSN. There is a fantastic thread for the previous round of applications last year, and I thought this would be a good forum for us to share any information that we might have about Downstate's admission process as we go through it together. Good luck everyone!!!
Hi! I'll be taking the last prerequisite course (Microbiology) in the spring at Lehman College. Spring Grades will be in by May 29. Will I still be able to apply?
Hey! I was in the same situation but at Hunter. They make you sign an agreement during orientation that you would have your grade by "x" date. They're very sympathetic because they know CUNY is snail mail slow.
Hi everyone! This is my second time applying but I managed to submit my application this past week. It says "INCOMPLETE REVIEW" when I check on my application status. Does anyone know what that means? Am I missing something?
I suggest you call and clear it up! The admissions office would be more helpful and informative.
Good morning Epavlov04- I couldn't help notice your post on Suny Downstate. I was actually looking at threads regarding Lehman College Nursing program as I'm intending to apply for the Fall semester 2019. I'm just curious....since you'll be taking your last science prereq at Lehman in the Spring of 2019 will you be applying to the Lehman College nursing program? I have finished all my prereq's myself but was going to apply to Lehman only...perhaps I should look into Suny Downstate as well? The reason I was only considering Lehman was because it seemed to be one of the more affordable ways to get my BFA in nursing. Down Suny Downstate offer a higher degree of Nursing education than Lehman?
Thx, Lee
Are you planning to apply to the Generic or Accelerated program? Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to apply to Lehman's Accelerated Nursing Program for 2019. They recently changed their admissions requirement and in order to apply all pre-requisites must be completed by the end of this Fall Semester, making me ineligible (since I still have Microbiology to finish in the spring). At the end of the program both SUNY Downstate and Lehman will grant you a BSN Degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing). They're both extremely affordable and both 15 months long (this is new for Lehman's program too). If I were you, I would also apply to SUNY Downstate. Lehman College is competitive, therefore it will be good to have options in case you do not get accepted.

Hey guys,
Wishing everyone luck for acceptance into the program. I applied a couple weeks ago. Most threads like to compare stats:
3.73 pre req GPA
3.56 science
3.61 cumulative
81 English 94 math
Definitely not the best stats but three excellent recommendation letters from very prestigious people and a personal statement checked by an expert. Very nervous, good luck everyone.
