Hi everyone! I am new to All Nurses but I've noticed that no one has started a thread for the SUNY Downstate June 2012 ABSN program (or maybe I just didnt see it). Is anyone out there applying for it????:):)

congrats to everyone that has been accepted to their program. I am starting at Downstate in June as well :)

nurseaig-can you shed any light on the neighborhood? I'm debating on where to live as I have heard mostly good, but some bad things about that area.

The area is not that bad. I personally think that there

are good and bad in every neighborhood. One thing I can say is that there are lots of Cops and university police in the the area. So the neighborhood is safe to me.

did you apply to the bsn program?

ccaalee,

Did you apply to the BSN program?

ahhhhh got wait-listed :/

I'm still hopeful!

Has anyone else still not heard yet? So nervous!

Still waiting over here. I have called every week to be told I am still under review. I have been under review since November so I am VERY nervous about that.

Hello all,

I have been wait listed and am very disappointed.

Does anyone know how many people usually get culled from the wait list most years?

The admissions office would not give me a number.

Thanks....

Hello,

Congrats to all who were accepted!! I just got wait listed as well and was wondering the same thing (how many students are wait listed v. how many they accept off the wait list). For those of you who were accepted or wait listed what did your gpas/teas scores look like, if you don't mind sharing, also is there anyone who has outstanding prereqs?

Thanks!!

I am currently taking my last two pre-reqs, developmentally psych and a and p, II.

They will be finished in mid-May.

The admissions office did tell me that they accepted 60 applicants and have 40 on the wait list.

Some years they said they take as many as 15-20 people from the wait list.

One year, a student told me that 7 people from the alternate list got called on the day of orientation in June to start.

Being a Brooklyn resident, it is is my hope that being local will work in my favor if that situation comes up.

Being in limbo is very hard.

take care all...
