Hi everyone! I am new to All Nurses but I've noticed that no one has started a thread for the SUNY Downstate June 2012 ABSN program (or maybe I just didnt see it). Is anyone out there applying for it????:):)
ccaalee,Did you apply to the BSN program?
Hi, sorry for the delayed reply but yes, I applied for the Accelerated BSN.
Can't believe I got wait listed! I got into Drexel and FDU. I scored top 95% percent in TEASV and have 4.0 in all my prerequisites. Geeze.... Is this program even any good? I was told that the neighborhood is bad and the program is very disorganized. I live in nj so it won't even be that cheap for me.
I actually got a rejection letter yesterday, which I find amusing because I never even finished submitting the application. I think I submitted the online portion, but never sent in transcripts, a personal statement, the application fee or anything. Just seemed like a waste of paper to me, because it was pretty obvious that I wasn't going to be attending, but oh well. I realized that the commute would just be too difficult for me out in Suffolk County.

Ok, so rejection letters do exist for this school. I understand what you mean about the commute.. I am in Suffolk also and driving 2 hours to Brooklyn twice a day is something that I am dreading. I would rather sit on the train into the city than sit in traffic on the Southern State/Belt.
yes in may would be the last letter . right now just relax. if u cant relax apply to pace. they are accepting students. you don't need to take any examination and the requirements are the same with downstate . pace university is actually very easy to enter and they are actually better than downstate. they (pace) do have real teachers and nurses teaching. the bad side to pace is the cost. it is a private university. try them out . i did . and i am leaving downstate for them.

I had my application in in November and just finished my last prereq. I haven't heard yet. So nervous to be rejected or wait-listed!!
