Summer 2018- UT Health Science center pacesetter BSN program

Hello Everyone,

I am preparing myself to apply for Summer 2018 pacesetter BSN program. We can use this forum for Summer 2018 applicants. I am in the process of taking Hesi exam. I have completed all my prerequisite courses needed for the program.

Little bit about me:

BS in Microbiology in 2005 -GPA (3.05)

MPH degree in Epidemiology in 2012-GPA (3.85)

Associate degree of Science in 2017-GPA (4.0)

Hesi test-will be taking it in August

Working full time with City Health department as an epidemiologist specialist since last five years. I am also a mom of two boys.

Got accepted to MUSC college of nursing program but declined it. Also got accepted to Johns Hopkins Entry into Masters of nursing program for Fall 2017 but had to deffer it to Fall 2018 due to financial circumstances.

Trying to apply for the in-state school due to affordable tuition as well as easy commute.

I really hope i can get into UT Health Science center pacesetter program as it's my first option as it's closest to me as well as it's affordable and one of the best programs in Texas.

I have been waitlisted as well.

I am currently retaking Micro for an A, and taking Nutrition to finish off. I had over 50 credits done. So I am hoping that I get in!!

Does any one know how long it takes to get the final say??

From previous forums, they have up until 2 weeks before the summer session starts to let the waitlist applicants know something

Is anyone applying or waiting to hear back from other schools? I'm starting to study for the TEAS exam to apply to other schools just incase UT is a no-go.

I already heard back from UTMB and got admitted for the Fall semester! It's crazy how summer for UTHealth still hasn't gotten back to everyone. My portal still says that my application is still under review. I got into UTMB w a TEAS of 84 so I'd say give UTMB and also TWU a shot.

I'm also applying to Sam Houston State in The Woodlands. They make decisions mid-June for Fall 2018. Fingers crossed.

@zoesvnchez congrats!!!!! Do you mind sharing your gpa stats? I want to apply to UTMB and TWU but feel that my overall gpa is going to hold me back. I didn't take a few classes seriously in 2014 and it's really biting me in the a**now lol

Congrats! You got an early admission for UTMB? I'm still waiting for an interview( if I'm getting one).
