Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls
I am in the exact situation. I went to an office across town and specified I needed a Quantitative (numerical value) and they sent me a Qualitative report two weeks later. I started the Hep B series today and emailed the school to see if I am still able to apply but no response yet. Did you have to pay again for the quantitative titer?

Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls
I don't know about Lonestar, but I know many BSN programs that do take retakes into account. That is not to say that you won't get into a program because you repeated 2-3 courses. There are lots of schools that replace the higher grade and don't take the first attempt into account. However, schools like UTMB only allows applicants to retake 2 pre-req courses. If more, then you're not able to apply. UTHSC also looks into how many classes you retake. They do take the higher grade of a class you retook, but both attempts are calculated into your overall gpa. It's just something to keep in mind because nursing programs are competitive.

Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls
Hi guys! I'm applying to the ADN program at Cyfair as well as UTHSC. I was waitlisted for the summer but hoping I can get into either program for the spring. Total points: 7.664 HESI Score: 91.6 AP-96 Reading-94 Grammar-92 Math-90 Vocab-86 CT- 830 I plan on retaking the HESI soon. Has anyone retaken the exam? I'm wondering if the AP section has similar question topics or is completely different.

HESI A2 exam 2018
You are given the passage to answer the questions regarding that particular passage. However, you cannot go back to the question after you have answered it. Hope this helps!

UT Health Pacesetter BSN Fall 2018
Do you know if they calculated all attempts for repeated nursing pre-req scores into your OVERALL GPA? I did repeat 2 pre-reqs but was told they take the highest grade for any repeated nursing pre req to calculate your NURSING PRE REQ GPA but they never mentioned anything about overall gpa. They also told me if you repeated classes that were not considered nursing pre/science then they take all attempts to calculate your overall? I never received an evaluation when I applied for SUMMER 2018. I was waitlisted and thinking of applying for SPRING 2019.

UT Health Pacesetter BSN Fall 2018
i didn't apply for FALL 2018 but hoping to apply Spring 2019. I was waitlisted for Summer 2018 with these stats: 3.8 Science 3.8 Nursing Gpa 3.4 Overall Gpa (Failed some non-preq classes) Hesi ( 91.6 - AP 96, Read 94, 92 Grammar, 90 Math, 86 Vocab) Do you think retaking the hesi would help me get in for the spring or should I continue taking classes that I don't need to improve my overall gpa? Idk if i should just give up on UT and start prepping to take the TEAS. I would really appreciate yall's input. Good luck to those still waiting!

They look at everything like most programs. I was told that through email and it is on the website where it says admission criteria.

If you repeat a class that is a nursing pre-req then the highest grade is used to calculate your pre-req/science gpa. If you repeat a class that is NOT a nursing pre-req then BOTH grades are calculated into your overall gpa. I emailed the school last year and was sent this by a lady named Amy.
