well for all of us pre nursing students...anyone taking classes during the summer or doing anything exciting?
For me, I am taking philosophy: logic
and
Intro to psychology:yawn:
meh talk about a very BORING 6-week summer...
and the topper? I have class at 8 am! ARGH, not the way I wanted to start summer. And no, there is no other class being offered, so I need this logic class for the BSN program I am applying for this Oct!
After class gets out (around early August) I have like 3 weeks off until regular semester starts...blah, I will probably be working fulltime...
As for extra-curricular activities? Besides working the weekends, I will be either looking for a HC job or volunteering.
Keep up the good work and wish you success in all your classes... don't burn yourself out though... injuries and bad grades can occur... I just learned the hard way this past spring semester... went in 11 days after a complicated back surgery... worked and busted but at work to injure my back further... the pain affected my studying, concentration and grades... lucky enough my teacher knew what I was going thru and helped the best she could... Just be careful and don't be afraid to ask for help... again good luck
I got into nursing school with a friend of mine. She is required to take the following classes prior to entering the absn program (school starts this August for us): pathophysiology, research, psych, college algebra, and religion. Now that's a terrible 6 weeks!
im taking anatomy and phisiology2, chemistry, and art for the first session. then im taking psycology, rest of ap2 and my phys ed. But i dont care, cuz i wanna be a nurse so bad, ill do what it takes! i get to apply this fall semester and am soooo excited!!!!
I've already gotten accepted to nursing school, and will have completed all my nursing prerequisites come Wednesday, but I am taking two extra classes this summer. First, I am taking philosophy 241, which is a philosophical introduction to ethics and morality, and I am taking English 114, which is a literature-based essay course. I am taking these in order to further boost my GPA, and to give myself something to do so that my brain doesn't rot before nursing school starts.
thankfully i will be done with all program prereqs in two weeks!!! but for bsn im taking patho, algebra, and russian :).....then in fall its chem 110, nutrition, and history of rock! bsn pre-reqs are way more fun!....im applying and WILL be getting in this fall. then ill only have chem111 to take during the summer 12
So many people were on the waiting list for online college algebra they decided to open up another section. Score! No 8am class this summer after all. :)
