It depends on how strong you are with science. I'm taking Pharm the 1st semester and Chem the 2nd. I have to admit that I'm a little nervous.
Good Luck! Let me know how it goes.

As Sara mentions, it all depends on how strong you feel in science. Going to summer school for A&P 1 is definitely doable, but it will be intense. I plan on taking my last two prereqs (A&P2 and microbiology) this summer (Goodbye May and June!), so that if I do get into the nursing program (fingers crossed!) I'll only have the nursing classes to worry about.

I think so, I am taking Anatomy and lab right now and find it pretty easy overall. I just took a written and lab test tonight in fact and I know I got an A on it.

I took A&P I & A&P II with both labs in one summer (8 weeks). Of course, I ate, slept and breathed A&P. But, I did it with a 98% average. So, it can be done if you are able to focus well.
Good luck.

Hi, Fox!
As others have said, it is doable, but you'll need to get your studying priorities in order.
I don't know how intense yours will be (class everyday for four weeks, or 3x/week for 6 weeks, or whatever). Just make sure you carve out time between each and every class to read, review, and study.
I'll be in A&P II this summer (three evenings a week-M, W, F; 5-10PM x6 weeks) and Spanish for Medical Personnel! I've already blocked off time in my schedule those weeks to pre-read before each class, and study inbetween classes. I thought the every day x4 weeks class would put me in over my head--between work and kids, I didn't think I could keep up with it.

I took A&PI last summer - 10 week session, class two nights a week 5:30 - 9:30PM each night. I also worked full-time too and I still aced the class. My lab partner was also taking Chem at the same time and she did very well in both classes.
It was intense and took sticking to a very strict study schedule but it was definately worth it. I think there are a lot of benefits of taking classes in the summer. 1) heck, in 10 weeks it's over with
2) I liked the fact that we would go over a particular section and then immediately have an exam and then move on to the next topic - never looked back. I am taking A&PII right now and it all seems very disjointed when you have the whole semester to spread the class out over. We learn cardiology, then start on reproductive and then part way through repro. we take the test for cardiology. 3) some people tend to learn and retain the information better if it is crammed (for lack of a better word) together
Definatley give it a shot. It will be worth it now to get it out of the way rather then worrying about juggling a ton of classes all at one time.
I also new people in my A&PI class that were also taking A&PII, 4 days a week 9:30AM - 3:30 AM for the 6 week intercession but the first couple weeks of it Piggy Backed A&PI and they still made it through OK.

I took Chem, Organic, AP1 and AP 2 in the same summer. 16 credits of sciences. It was awful. However, I lived to talk about it and made decent grades as well.
