My weigh in was better than expected...even though I only lost .4 lbs. I thought I was going to gain since I had a bad beginning of the week.

This week, I will not be able to weigh in as I am at my grandmothers in Michigan (I live in Calif.) So, I hope to report back in 2 weeks with a loss : )

Great job all!

Heather

Oh, so long! My husband went on Pac in February and will be back next month, the 15th. Beyond excited, it was our first married! I don't know if you've been through this before but my prayers are with you to hang in there, I know the last 6 months have not been pleasant.

Its our first time being apart, we met in the military and we were always stationed in the same area. It's hard, it makes me EAT! LOL. Happy your hubby will be home soon!

This week I have done bad. I gained 2 lbs instead of loosing them. My excuse are the cravings that I get at 'that time of the month'. It happens every month, I will just have to work extra hard next week. I am not giving up that easy.

we all gain! :uhoh3: i love the saying: "dont let a lapse become a re-lapse!" i had a 1.8 lb gain two weeks ago and really struggled to keep it together. losing weight takes time and we have to be in it for the long haul, so dont give up!

I hate my weight. I'm in a small college with lots of thin girls. But it's hard to do anything about it. I have no money. I'm a sophomore, who lives with her parents and has no money. I'm doing a work-study job and thats the only money i get during college. If i had my way, i would want to lose about 60 pounds. But how? I've learned the best way to lose weight is just not eat. I eat but only once a day. In college, i don't have the time to eat so it just happens to work. What do you drink? I have water but i'm a person that has to stay drinking during the day so most likely i just get soda. I like water but i have to have it bottled. (That runs out too quickly). So for now, i'm stuck.

Hi!

Get unstuck! Dump the soda-it puts on weight (including the diet soda)

and is full of chemicals. Try ice tea mostly water and light on the tea.

Not eating does not help lose weight. Eating the right things helps you

lose. Try a healthy diet like Mediterranean or the South Beach diet.

Both are easy to follow and easy to stay with.

As for no $ for fitness, be creative! Walking an hour a day at a

good pace is good for your heart and your weight loss goals.

When you can, invest in a few good workout dvds or tapes you can

enjoy and will use often. If you want some suggestions, feel free to

pm me.

You can also do some weight training by using free weights. They are

not expensive and you can get them at the sports store.

See what exercise classes your college offers. Often they are not

expensive and you can try different things like yoga.

Do not get discouraged, with just a few changes you will start

to see results. We don't gain overnight(even though it feels like it),

so we lose slowly too.

Good luck!

You sound so down in the dumps now, I can sense your despair in your message! I feel so bad, I know how you feel about the weight loss, believe me. I live in San Diego and about 14 months ago I gained over 100lbs!! Yes, 100lbs! The beginning of the year I weighed 299. To go from what I used to be to now is really hard, especially somewhere like San Diego where you are defined by how you look. Since this May 25, 2006, I have lost 37 pounds. I have an addiction to ice cream so I kind of sabotaged myself for a couple weeks in June. I was going to the gym 4 times a week doing cardio eating right but I lost maybe 1 pound a month. I started Medifast on the 25th of May and it works like a dream, it's a expensive but I know it works, because it's working for me. I'm not an advertisement, but things for me just seemed hopeless and I tried to convince myself that maybe being fat was just me and I should become one with it, but I just couldn't do it. So I started that, it's an option and it's difficult the first week, but it gets to be a way of life.

I hope you find something that works for you, and I wish the best for you and your journey.

I have eaten so many quarts of ice cream in the last 2 months, I should have just bought stock in Cold Stone Creamery! It was that bad. He needs to come back for MY health.:barf01:

I just feel like i cannot do any diet program, like the Medifast program or Weight Watchers, until i graduate college (which is 3 maybe 4 years from now). I hate going to a gym bc of how i look. I know its stupid but i feel like when people are there, they will be watching me. I know its stupid. I see all these advertisement ads on tv about how these people lost all this weight and i think, maybe i can too. I'm 235 pounds and im only 18. I would love to get down to 160. If its possible, i would love to wear a size 10-12. Maybe, i will see how late my gym is open at my college, and hopefully with my busy schedule next semester, just maybe i can fit it in. :(
