  1. I'm not sure if you are talking to me but if you are, i'm doing the different types of bar graphs and then the upper class and lower class. Then class boundaries. And frequency, then midpoint. I think i got the one problem right but when i went to do the next problem, I couldn't do it. I dont know what i'm doing wrong.
  2. I am taking stats and I'm not sure if it's the teacher or what but I'm confused. I think it's the combination of the teacher and the course. My teacher is new and is a first time teaching with college students. So he's really shy and nervous. And all of his office hours, I always have other classes. It sucks. So i'm completely confused. I can't even do my homework bc i'm so confused. I'm going to him tomorrow after class to get help. I'm sorry but this is crazy. I shouldn't get this frustrated just by doing my homework. Hopefully he will explain it better to me tomorrow. I hope you all understand it better than i do.
  3. I love microbiology. I hated regular biology but for some reason i love micrbiology. Maybe it's the teacher i have. Teachers can make all the difference if you have a good one. I think it's going to be a good course. Good luck to all of you. I hope you do well. :)
  4. I'm scared about this course. I hear it's really hard. I don't think this semester it will be too hard for me. I just need to study (which i'm getting better at). Do we need a graphing calculator?
  5. I'm taking Microbiology. I really don't know what to expect with this class. Last semester i had anatomy and i dropped that bc the teacher doesn't know how to teach it. I heard somewhere that Dr. Cornell (my anatomy teacher) transferred from a medical school. I can believe it bc he doesn't know how to make students understand him. But anyhow, I'm nervous about this course. I'm sure ill do fine though.
  6. On average, a BSN takes 4 years. But there are classes like anatomy, biology, etc that can be difficult to pass. If you get a C or better in all of your classes you should have no problems graduating in 4 years with a BSN. Just make sure you take all of your pre-reqs your first year. I didn't take chem (which is the only pre-req i didn't have) and that is the only reason why i didn't get in to the program. Try and keep your head up.
  7. I am also taking A&P this semester. It's only my second week and i am so overwhelmed with this. I am reading the books and looking at the diagrams (trying to fill them out) and its just not working. I dont understand. I signed up for a tutor and im going to ask people in my class if they want to form a study group. Does anyone know any good websites that explains this really well? Good luck to all of those whose taking A&P!! :studyowl:
  8. I was just wondering if anyone knew some sites to help me out with A & P? I am taking it now and i am overwhelmed. I am trying to fill out my lab book and i can't do it because i dont understand the material. Is there something that i can do that would help me better understand this because its only the 1st week of school, well 2nd week starting tomorrow, and it's only going to get harder.
  9. Yeah, I'm waiting for my acceptance letter for Fall of 2007. I hope i get in. If not, i will just say at the college im at. But if i can transfer it will be a lot better; i will be in-state (aka cheaper) and i can live at home (also cheaper). They told me that they will review the applications Sept. 11th. Do you think i will know by the middle of October? Anyways, Good Luck to everyone whose waiting!
  10. Nice.. I don't understand why college is so much money. Everyone says "go to college and get an education". So Most people do and we, including me, will end up with this huge debt. I think college should be more affordable considering that you need to go to college just to get a good job. Most likely more than half the people in this world will end up in college, so why not lower the prices and take away these stupid courses that colleges make students take (At my college, to be a gym teacher, you have to take plant biology. How messed-up is that?) Colleges should take away these courses that we don't really need and concentrate on our majors. Although, i doubt it will ever happen.
  11. I'm not sure about the nurses exams but one of the cons from going to school out of state is the price. It will cost a lot more going out of state. If i could make any suggestions, it would be to stay in your home state. It will be cheaper and you wont have to worry about retaking or taking your nursing exam over again (some states require their test and their license). Thats just my opinion. Stay in your home state, its just easier.
  12. I would have to agree. College is supposed to be fun but i just want out. I love it because it keeps me busy but still. I have friends who are married/engaged and have kids. But here I am single (have been my whole life) and in college waiting for May of 2009 to come. I think its hard when you're young because you can't do what you want to. We just have to deal with it until we graduate and are out on our own; which totally sucks.
  13. Just to fill you in, My credits will transfer over. I've done my homework. lol. Right now, just from my freshman year i will have 20 credits that will transfer over. With my sophomore year, if i get all above a C (which i will i just have to study more) i will have 53 or 57 transfered credits. Which if i'm correct, it will put me at a junior. I'm not quite sure how many credits you need to be a sophomore/junior/senior.
  14. I couldn't agree more. Just study and don't memorize because if you do, you will end up forgetting everything you have "studied". Another thing, don't drop out of any class no matter how hard it is. I did that and i will kick myself in the ass for it. Remember, you are taking those classes for a reason. Just study enough and you will be fine. As for your GPA, if you just keep it above a 3.0 you should be fine. Good luck!
  15. I'm a pre-nursing student and my books are going to be about 600 to 650. I don't want to imagine how much they are going to be when i enter nursing program.
