straight A student, but positive i failed!

Aaaaaaaaaaaah. I have a 3.97 gpa and I just finished my nclex with 75 questions. I swear, it was at least 35% SATA and full of drugs I have never heard of. I am scared to try the "trick" because I. Just feel certain that I failed. I am not being dramatic- this test was nothing like anything from nursing school, and I just can't imagine how I could have passed. I am sick over this.

Same story.. I think I need to do more questions. I did the PVT and actually failed.. Hopefully you have better luck then me.

Do you mean that you did the trick, got the "good" pop up, and then found out you failed???!?!?!?!!?!??!?!

Anyway, I am so sorry that you didn't pass :(

you are fine. the harder the questions (i.e. 35% SATA), the better. everyone thinks they fail it...and most don't :) congrats!

Congrats OP you did it!!! I know the feeling. I literally had to peek through my hands over my face to hit the next button. My hands were trembling and I was tachy.

YDRussell, I live in MD and I got my license exactly three days after taking my boards both for LPN and RN ( too bad I wasted eight bucks cause I'm so impatient and couldn't wait another day).

You should have your license soon. I got mine around 2:30 pm today!

Hmmm. We shall see. Theres someone that took it last Friday and paid for quick results and passed, but still doesn't have a license #. Weird. Hopefully it'll be there tomorrow!

Be encouraged you probably passed, :w00t:the fact that the computer shut off at 75 questions does not mean anything. I thought I had failed when I had to take the entire test, but I had passed thank God that was in 1998! I am so glad I don't have to go through that again!! I pray that you will have comfort. If for reason you did not pass, just retake the test. Remember many many good nurses have had to retake the NCLEX!! :yelclap:

Congratulations! I actually said a choice four letter word OUT LOUD and they record and videotape you after the first ELEVEN were SATA.

I, too, would've bet my home on the belief I'd failed after the machine shut off after the 75th question. I cried all the way home. Yet got the good pop up when I tried!

Welcome to nursing!

Yay, congratulations! :) That's great. I'm sure it was really nerve-wrenching!

I have yet to find anyone that passed the NCLEX that walked out feeling like they passed! I had the exact same scenario... I graduated with highest honors, and walked out of the NCLEX wondering why in the hell I even went to school if nothing i learned was going to be on the biggest test of my career. LOL - UGH!!! 75 questions here too, a TON of SATA... and I passed!!! But boy did I feel like I was the world's biggest failure.

My license was issued last week! :D

CONGRATULATIONS!

I am soooo sorry that I cannot find any empathy in this 'have to know immediately' world. Yes, I know that you are tired of hearing that we took a 2-day exam - I find it sickening that an entire education and future lie in 75 questions! - but we waited 6-8 weeks to get our results. And we survived.

Glad you passed, hope you a shiny future.

Merlee; I find it sickening that people's healthcare lie in the hands of someone who's as rude, condescending, and lacking compassion like you. If you don't have something nice and encouraging to say on these forums then please don't post them. Thank you.

Just like we know things were very different when you took your test, you have to realize the same. Starting our jobs have very different requirements now. At least in my state, we can no longer start work as a graduate nurse. That means many of us are waiting on pins and needles to get our results to start working! It isn't necessarily about "have to know immediately" as it is "need money in my bank account to pay the mortgage." Just something to consider.
