StonyBrook ABSN: Class of 2021

Hi all,

Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.

I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

Anyone know around what time the orientation will be? I know class starts June 11. I’m trying to book a trip somewhere in early May and I hope that should be okay

You have 10 days from your acceptance to pay your deposit

Does anybody know when alternate list students have been notified in the past? My 2nd choice school needs a deposit by April 1st and I would also need to find an apartment in April because classes start in May, and I was wondering if I should keep my name on the alternate list in hopes that I hear before April... or do alternate list student typically hear later than April...

I think people have heard anytime between february and april. Some people heard really early and others heard pretty late..

Does anyone know how much the accelerated baccalaureate program costs in total for the whole year?

16,667$ for in state and 52,387$ for out of state.

Has anyone seen their Financial aid package? I was told we were able to see it in May??

yes I believe so.Keep in mind they also charge 1,542$ for the Fall and 2,135$ for Spring/Summer as a cost of health insurance if you don't have your own.I think we should start a facebook group or something.I can post a PDF of the cost breakdown I received.

Haven't seen anything yet. It doesn't even show that I have paid the deposit in Solar.

Haven't seen anything yet. It doesn't even show that I have paid the deposit in Solar.

I contacted financial aid and they said our financial aid packages will be posted in SOLAR but not until mid-May. @BraveLego we do have a FB group! Search for Stony Brook ABSN Class of 2021

ohh perfect.Thank you.I just joined.It will definitely come in handy when I am looking for roommates for off campus housing.
