Hi all,
Thought I'd start a thread here so we can connect. I am in the process of taking my pre-reqs and plan to submit my application by the Oct 2019 deadline for the Summer 2020 start.
I'm planning on attending the Sept 19 info session on campus - anyone else going?

I know. I’m so upset. They also confirmed that rejections haven’t gone out.
The woman asked for my name, too. So I’m very nervous that this will go in my file somehow. I’m glad I called though, because this is ridiculous and at least now I’m not holding onto false hope.

Of course. The woman I spoke to was very nice. I asked her if any decisions (rejections or otherwise) had gone out and told her I knew in the past the rejections had gone out first, which was helpful for people with other offers. She politely asked for my name and number so she could call back with other information, but then she saw someone that she though could help. That person is the one that basically advised us to accept another offer if there’s a deadline.

Honestly it stinks that they are making us wait for so long and that that was the response they gave you after calling but no reason to get upset over something that is out of your control... I would say just respond to other schools if you need/want and if you get an acceptance to SBU in the future you can change your plans appropriately if you chose to attend or not. I have paid to reserve my seat at one school so far and if I get into SBU I am forfeiting my seat to attend SBU... I just didn't want to wait for SBUs decision and got forbid it be a rejection and then also lose the opportunity to attend another school. It is a stressful decision/process but stressing over something that is out of your control is silly
