Stony Brook's ABSN Class of 2023

Hi everyone! I am applying to Stony Brook's ABSN and wanted to create this thread for anyone who wanted to share stats, updates or need assistance!

When did you hear back from Pace? I thought admission decisions for fall wouldnt be out until March.

I didn’t get an interview or got accepted. I was accepted to NYU for the fall cohort instead  

to anyone please don’t give up. There’s so many great school out there that will see your hard work and accept you into their program.

I thought Pace doesn't respond back until after the Feb 1st deadline for fall 2022? When did you hear back from Pace?

I’m glad I’m in the ABSN at pace. For those of you who didn’t get in, this is an 11month program to consider?

OMG! I got accepted into the ABSN for pace as well. I can't decide. I am new to the forum so I can't navigate too well but if you would be willing to contact me that would be great.

I just realized I replied to the wrong person. But for all those wondering, I got my acceptance from Pace last week Tuesday, the 18th. It might've been that I applied super early in October, the same time Stony Brook's applications were due. I had submit me deposit to Pace not thinking I'd get into Stony as well.. but I think I'm sticking to Pace

Hi @nursebsn818  did you get into both pace and sbu? If so, what’s your reason for choosing pace?

I applied super early back in October as well. I got an email on the 10th saying my application was under review and then on Monday asking for my fall 2021 transcript. They did tell me decisions wouldn’t come out until after Feb 1st congrats!

Yes, I got into both programs. I have such a lengthy pros and cons list because they are both amazing schools, but I primarily reside in the city so relocating to SBU would be inconvenient for me. I also don't have a car and since clinical sites are pretty spread out, it would be hard for me to get around. They mentioned in the interview that clinical sites could be as far as Queens or Southampton.

I got an email asking for my Fall grades as well. I wonder if they are releasing decisions soon.

Congrats!! Both are amazing options. Did Pace give any scholarship money?

Thank you! & Unfortunately no but I hear that is pretty standard across the board. I keep up closely with Nurse Iveth on Youtube and she went to Pace's ABSN program and she mentions in one of her videos she didn't receive scholarship money from Pace. I'd definitely have to look at outside resources and financial aid for grants or loans.

I got my acceptance letter for Fall 2022 on Monday 24th, I guess it because I applied super early when Stony had its deadline in October.
