Stony Brook's ABSN Class of 2023

Hi everyone! I am applying to Stony Brook's ABSN and wanted to create this thread for anyone who wanted to share stats, updates or need assistance!

edit: I am seeing that the option to accept the decision on SOLAR is up now - maybe once we press accept there, the deposit option will appear?

If you go to Self Service --> Student Admission --> Admission Decision Reponse, you can accept the offer on SOLAR. Now that I did that, my deposit is showing up!

I may have spoken  too soon....I'm seeing confirm selection for the deposit, but the selection is blank on firefox...I'm gonna clear my cache and wait the full 24 hours and see if it appears so I know what I'm selecting.

Yeah it’s the same for me on chrome and safari. I’ve cleared my cache but the checkbox is still showing blank. I’ll try later too and see if it works. My option to accept the decision on SOLAR showed up before 24 hrs, so I figured it would all work.

Where are you guys finding accept decision on SOLAR? I still don’t see that either

Same here. Do you have any remaining classes to take. I wonder what number we are on the list, I hope we both make it.

Hey everyone, 

For all those who haven’t received an email from SBU yet, I would login and check your application. I did not receive any email either and I just logged in and saw there was a change to the status of my application. It was a rejection. 
 

Congrats to all who got in! Best of luck to everyone who was turned down as well!

I’m glad I’m in the ABSN at pace. For those of you who didn’t get in, this is an 11month program to consider?

Reminder to everyone who didn't get in: this is only one program! There are other programs equally as competitive and with equal reputations that are tangible. Don't give up! Apply to other programs and continue to pursue nursing. We all got this! Best of luck to everyone:)

Also, a program to consider is the ABSN program at Utica. It's 16 months long based out of Syracuse. 

I got denied as well. Hope everybody is doing okay. This is not a reflection of who we are. It just simply wasn't meant to be. Best of luck to everybody who got accepted or denied. Sending love to everyone.

I was denied to Stony too I was accepted to Pace for fall 2022, are you also Fall?

No, I’m actually in the program right now! It started Monday. Im in the Pleasantville location though- I believe you will be in nyc.
