I definitely won’t want anyone to think pace isn’t a good program! And I only know of one person out of many people who went there so just take what I say with a grain of salt. But anyway they recently had an incident with the dean. Their class average pass rate was 77 in the handbooks but the dean told them 80. So a handful of students failed out because they had a 79 or 78 & it wasn’t even rounded up. one student got a lawyer involved so now the average passing grade is changed back to 77 & the students who lost their seats received them back. This was disappointing to hear because I would’ve expected a private school with a big tuition to be more lenient.
however over all my friend is fine with the program.  Every Program has its pros and cons ya know?
for me personally, the cost & having supportive faculty matters most. But again, everyone’s priorities/ preferences vary. So do what is best for you. Read old forums from both schools & then decide

With this: I can’t speak for many other programs but I know people who graduated from Stony Brook’s nursing program. They say the staff is so supportive and they wouldn’t go with any other school having had such a good experience at SB. I know other people in programs like MSMC who says their program is THE WORST in terms of organization and student supports and that they wouldn’t recommend the school to anyone. I just think it’s important to really research all options before committing because going through an intense program will be hard enough without dealing with any of these other factors.

Glad it worked! I'm on chrome now too, but the tuition deposit still isn't working. I'm going to contact the help desk soon.

I just asked someone who graduated from stonys program about the class passing average you need to maintain  to stay in the program & he said it’s 74. However, it’s prob best to directly inquire with the program in case this changed

I keep getting a message saying I haven't selected any options on the page when trying to submit my deposit

Does anyone know the deadline to accept the offer and pay the deposit? I already submitted my deposit to another school thinking I wouldn't get into SBU LOL so I am trying to wait as long as possible and weigh my options before I'm out of more money.

I'm pretty sure it says it when you go on SOLAR to accept or decline - I think it was 10 days but you can go on there and check. Deposit I'm not sure.

Okay, here's what I found out regarding paying deposit on SOLAR.

If we only just accepted the offer on SOLAR today, we need to wait till tomorrow for the system to process it and then populate the fields for the deposits, so that might take up to 24 or so hours. Then, we should be able to see fields for tuition deposits, orientation deposits, etc. and select which to pay.

Thank you! Should we be paying both deposits right now?

Is anyone that got in declining their acceptance?
