I'm also applying to NYU and Adelphi (I'm in their traditional program, but I want accelerated, and although I was told I was basically accepted to their ABSN, they've since changed their minds and I may be in their program a year longer than originally anticipated).

SBU is it for me!
It's decent. I haven't started any real nursing courses yet...which is why it'll take me longer to graduate. I have 1 course that the accelerated director told me not to take, but ultimately need to start the other courses. I'm doing chem, psych, nutrition and genetics right now. The communication is just awful, and no one can give straight answers. It's unfortunate because I was so psyched about this program.
Good luck!
yea i understand, Im looking to get in and out ASAP because im ultimately going to stop working and cant really spare an extra year.
Agreed. Most of us who already have bachelor's degrees have been around the block and can't waste time.

Adelphi has such a good reputation for health sciences -- interesting to hear that things look different on the inside. I almost applied there, but ultimately decided to stick with SUNYs for the tuition.
What made everyone choose Stony Brook? For me, it was proximity and reputation.
Tuition haha. Seriously. I have so much school loan debt from my other degrees, I need something cheap. Plus a close friend of mine works there (and received her BSN there) and she loves it. I did undergrad there for 1 semester and didn't like it too much, but it was because I was a humanities student and they didn't take too kindly to us. SBU is a great school though. Fantastic academic programs.

Hi guys, im new to the forum. I applied mid-sep to the 1 year. but my application Was not completed till last week. And from what i have been reading from previous threads, they should start the calling process any time now. Also from older threads i found that this interview process is new, so we don't know what to expect, but it is ( like some one already said) a group interview. And people get call starting now up unitl mid-late Nov. 9/10 people that did not hear anything by then
Got rejected ***
