hey everyone! I am also applying for the SBU accelerated too. I was wondering if y'all can share your credentials like gpa, volunteering, and prerequisites just to get an idea of how strong of an applicant pool 2015 will be.
TheArchitect, great stats!
I hold an AAS in paralegal studies, a BA in English and an MBA.
My undergraduate gpa: 3.2
Graduate gpa: 3.4
A&P I: A
A&P II: A
Micro: A
Stats: C
Taking chem &psych now. Definitely getting an A in psych, probably a B+ in chem.
No volunteering, though I have worked many years with children with developmental, behavioral and mental issues.
Also took TEAS and got a very good score on all sections. I was actually almost at 100 for both English sections.
Made Dean's list my last semester of undergrad.
Letters are from a psych professor, an old coworker and an old boss who works with the mental health population and is a fantastic writer.
It's mostly about grammar, sentence structure and a bit of spelling. I don't know how difficult that would be for someone not native to English. But the other parts are math and science, which is universal.
