Morning All. When did you all apply? I was thinking this year will be a bit more organized, since last year was the first year for interviews.

I applied this past Friday. What about you?

I submitted Sept 4, from what I read on 2015 thread, people were getting called around this time of the month

I applied Saturday evening. I kept revising my essay. I hope I didn't over think it. I'm super excited though. Ready for someone to say they started calling.

Last year I was already called at this time. I went in for my interview on October 11th, so I would say any day my friends.

please explain the process for the interview, ex. what kind of questions were asked, how many people were present and were there any test. If you dont mind

Jenster3 what will you do differently, this year?

From what I understand it's a group interview 4-6 people, I think other posters have said avg. 5 people. General questions, why SB? What should they chose you? etc...... Broad general, no right or wrong, I guess.

Hi you will sit in a room with about 5 members of the board and 5 other candidiates. They ask you questions as to why you want to do this, why did you pick stony brook? tell us a little about u? Then you take a basic math test with about 20 questions and a simple essay question again asking why you want this. I heard though the essay question is different for everyone.

I'm just hoping I get a shot this time. This is a second career for me so every day I say I can't give up now.

Same here.... Im switching careers myself and i refuse to give up after taking all of these prereqs. But i have a strong feeling that we will get in. Good Luck
