Still Waiting...Patiently

Published

Of all the forums and blogs no one, I repeat no one ever mentioned having to wait some freaking infinite amount of time for a stupid authorization to take Boards! This is absolutely ridiculous. Did anyone else have to wait for an authorization to test in order to sign up for the NCLEX? If so, how long did you wait? What did you do or study while you waited?

This depends on the state where you wish to be licensed. My original LVN licensure was issued by the California BVNPT, which is a notoriously slow agency. I waited five weeks before my authorization to test arrived.

It took a little over 2 weeks before I received an ATT. How long have you been waiting? I believe NCLEX services states that if you do not receive an ATT within 4 weeks then it is appropriate to call.

Have any of your fellow graduates received their ATTs? We all received ours around the same time. If you are the only one who has not received an ATT or it has been longer than 4 weeks then you might call to check up on things.

It depends on when you send it. I did mine in NY and got my ATT about a week later. This was mid June. Hopefully it happens soon. I did do Kaplan review but felt like the packets my teachers gave me would have been enough. I didn't have to spend the extra money. My advice...just do questions...about 100 a day until the test. Don't read your notes...just do questions...GOOD LUCK!

Email your state board of nursing. I know when I was waiting for my ATT, for some reason when I registered with PearsonVue, it didn't automatically alert the state board of nursing that I had done so. I waited nearly a month and finally emailed them. They told me what happened and that they didn't even know I had registered. I would still be waiting for my ATT to this day had I not emailed them lol. Your problem may be something as simple as that.

I'm trying to be patient. I have classmates that have already tested, scheduled their test and some of us are still waiting for ATT. sigh.

I had to wait almost 6 months for my ATT here in Massachusetts, but I have a criminal history so I expected that. Was there anything out of the ordinary on your application? I agree with prior posters, contact your BON and ask them. Maybe you missed a step and they are waiting for additional information? Good luck!

I'm in cali. I waited almost 4 months. Didn't study till I set my date to test which was 4 weeks after I received my ATT

Im in CA it took a little over a month
