Hi, I was just wondering if there were any other students (or alumni or instructors) from Springfield Technical Community College on here.

Congrats on getting in! My name is Leah, and I will be in the nursing program as well.

I am hoping that someone on here can help me...My husband threw away the required text list. Any chance you can send me the list? I know it's really long, so no problem if you can't.

So I went by the bookstore with a friend of mine that got in too and they had NO books yet. They only had like extra small scrubs or XXXL so needless to say I have yet to get my scrubs and stuff. They said sometime in August all the nursing goodies should be in :crosses fingers:

Thanks for the info Kat! I am going to see what the counselor has to say about it too. Good idea! I hope your schedule works out the way you want. Do you know what textbook Driscoll uses? I would like to search around for the textbook for a better price than through their bookstore? How long ago did you take it with her? How are her tests? Multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching, T or F? Does she assign any projects or reports? Does she test only what she lectures and what's on her handouts and in the book? My teacher with A & P II now will throw in some totally random question that we never discussed or isnt even in the chapter that we are being tested on. It drives me nuts! I can't believe they had no scrubs that were of normal size or any of the books yet. Hellow, it's almost the middle of July. People like to be prepared.

Congrat's Leah! So exciting.. I can't wait to be where you and Kat are this time next year. You guys can pass on all that great advice you learned your first year. Good luck on finding the text list. You should call Sheila, she is the nursing dept secretary. She is SUPER nice and I am sure she would have no problem faxing or sending the list to you again.

Leah, I PMed you, I have a copy of the list on my computer, my hubby loves to throw stuff away too, so I put it on here for that reason. :chuckle:

I know i can't WAIT for September 2nd!!!! :D I still need to get my scrubs and the kit, whatever that is, but last time I went by the bookstore they didn't have the nursing stuff in yet. Oh and I still need to get some white shoes.....

Called the bookstore today, they have all the books in but not the scrubs and they don't know when those will come in *groans*
