Just wondering....have you started out making at least $60,000/year?

thax i really got motivation from you. i am in last semester with 2 years old and due in nov. so going for c-sec in thaxgiving break and back to college just for two days. then i will be done. i hope i could do it.

hey rockenmom, where is point loma? and yeah i think i must have been insane to have been pregnant twice while in school. the lucky part was that i had them at the end of the spring semesters (had a baby and a week later i was taking my finals). i do know what you mean about the stress and putting your kids first, my now 16 month old was hospitalized last fall with rsv.... so of course i never left her side, and when the test came up... well... you win some, you loose some.... lets just say i didn't perform at my best.... luckily i did well on all my other exams... i guess also being pregnant made me push myself harder through school... like i had something to prove....and pregnancy was not going to be an excuse. :dncgbby: so why isn't there consistancy in pay across the nation? and why are nurse/patient ratios unbalanced as well.... is there something we can do to unite with the rest of the nation to balance this out??

If you want to make a lot of money as a nurse don't come to ND. I know the RNs here at the hospital make about $35,000 a year, Lpns barely break $20,000. I am going back to school this year for my RN then I am moving to civilization. :yeah:

which hospital do you work in? I spent three weeks as a patient in spectrum and 9 weeks total until both my premature twins came home... I love that hospital... that place is the reason I became a nurse! hopefully will be able to be a Nicu nurse someday.

In Texas, I can make between 54000 working nights, no OT, and 80000- nights, extra shift each week. My total pay this year will not be as much because I started out getting paid peanuts for orientation on dayshift, but lately I have been picking up an extra shift weekly and it sure is nice to bring home 2000+ per pay period!

Maine is now part of California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee (CNA/NNOC) !!!!!!!We can bring nurses back to the bedside and turn this battered ship around. Nurses United are unstoppable!!!:yeah::yeah::yeah:

Does this mean that Maine will be a good place to work as a new RN?

You bet! They have a great first contract and can only get stronger!

Hi,

Does any one know the starting salary for RN 's in Texas.

thanks

Does anyone know starting pay for new grad RNs in Arizona?

Starting pay for RNs in Los Angeles area??? :D

Wow I thought RN's get paid over 30/hr starting off no matter where you work,so I'm greatful in getting this info.

In LA county,CALIFORNIA I'm getting paid 19/hr starting off as a LVN but I have a friend who started off @ 21/hr

My question is if or when I have a year experience or more as an lvn would that count for experience as a nurse to get a job as an RN grad not to get paid as an entry-level RN nurse?

I live in the Phoenix area and the starting salary for a new graduate nurse is around 25/hr. and possibly a 20% shift dif. for nights.
